Do we have any players who you would consider bring very little to the table and who you wouldn't mind if they were bought by another club? Alternatively, are you perfectly happy with each and every player that gets near the first team bearing in mind the money that we have / haven't spent compared to some clubs?

I'm not advocating a slagging-off session where abuse is hurled at our players (I hate that) but I'm looking for posts about players who you think are maybe easily replaceable - players who perhaps do a decent enough job when called upon but simply don't offer us enough at this level.

What are your reasons for picking him / them? Why would you give a shrug of the shoulders if they were shown the door?

I know our favourite pantomime villain is going to figure so I'll meet that head on. I think JDG has his faults but actually offers us more than he costs us. His defensive work is improving recently and we haven't got a dead ball specialist who comes close even though I accept he's not nearly consistent enough - just like everyone else really. There - that's out of the way. <laugh>

Otherwise, Tiendalli is frustrating me a lot this season. As a team that prides itself on creating from the back he always seems to slow down play and look for the back or cross-field pass. He also looks terrified to take a man on when he's in an advanced position. Davies & Rangel on the other hand are usually excellent in that department. There is a marked lack of intensity when Tiendalli plays imo which is a shame because he's previously shown that he can create, so maybe he's been given instructions by the Manager.

    Over to you.

None as yet as they have not had a good enough manager to motivate and guide them and we are not seeing the best of what they have got to offer. Lets see and not judge a player until we get a manager who knows how to play our system properly and not get rid of players from what we are seeing this season.....Look a ki for example...

Give it a rest Dai it's getting boring! Look the way I see it is, we're on track and picking up the vital points we need to to keep us in the league. No point going on about the what ifs all the time. If you think we should be in a higher position then I think you need to lower your expectations a bit.

No, Dai you twisted the question so you could yet again have a dig at Laudrup when you've already made your point time after time after time. It's tiresome.

Pozuelo annoys the pants off me - everything he does is all clever flicks and tricks. He could be far more effective if he did something simple now and again. (I'm exaggerating for effect I guess).

He brings something to the table because eventually something he does will open up the opposition defence...but I find him a very irritating player.

Tiendalli atm the moment and only because we know what he's capable of, so out of frustration rather than for not rating the player he'd be my choice .Poz & Amat, are stars for the future imo, , we were all rightly praising Ben last season for stepping up to the plate and yet those two names for example are as young and as in experienced as Ben was then and yet no allowances have been made .
Our players on their day are as good as we can expect to have with the relatively small outlay so I'm happy with the players talents just the in consistency which lets them down atm.Can you imagine Huw allowing £8,000,000 to be spent on a player for the future ?

There are a few players frustrating me so far this season like jdg, Chico and tiendalli but as things stand I would still rather all 3 in my 25 man squad than out. Although I don't think they should be in the starting 11.
Main reason being for Chico is his play acting. I've noticed strikers and wingers starting to target him more because they are probably not afraid or intimidated by him. Amat is far more of a no nonsense defender although is prone to an error or two.

Like to nominate the Schecteresque Alvarez along with Dwight "...which way is forward ?" Tiendalli, Jazz and Donnelly could do no worse surely ?

Ive been away (working that is) the last 4 months; got the vest and shorts tan to prove it, but I catch our boys regularly on Al Jezera. Agree with some, we're not as fluent as we could be but there are bonafide, valid and justifiable reasons, NOT EXCUSES, for this.

Our Europa quest has brought with it measurable adverse consequences. Europe has stretched us thin and due to its demands our boys aren't getting to train, aren't getting sufficient fortifying recuperation, rest or recovery, (look at the number of injuries we've endured so far).

Factor in also that due to the above, our team, including coaching staff, are not getting sufficient quality time to study opposition or to develop tactics, there's just not enough time to practice and master them in training, because training is virtually non existent. Our boys are effectively working things out as they play; hence our theme this year - slow first half better performance in the second, Luadrup has to take great credit for this.

So there are huge reasons why we're not clicking at all times or look off the pace or tired, because we ARE tired.

For me, looking in from the outside so to speak, its no mean feat for us to have achieved what we have so far this season. We've qualified for the last 32 in Europa; with the prize of having a go at Napoli, and simultaneously achieving 10th position in the prem, not bad eh chaps.

Regardless of the adversity our squad has endured so far, they have risen to the challenge and their achievements this season, while not setting the game alight, have been remarkable.

I salute you my fabulous Swans :emoticon-0178-rock:

Happy days chaps, happy days !

Vasquez, Lamah, Tiendalli and Monk could all be replaced without too much difficulty.

Michu - overrated Spanish twat with a name from Pokémon and a haircut verging on a mullet ... personally I'd ship him out on loan to some Thai owned East Midlands Championship side in the next window ... that'll teach him....

That's actually very good and made me laugh. I'm the mad one here though and had to look up to find out Leicester was in the East Midlands. I thought you were by Carlisle somewhere

Hows about winding your neck in , try staying on topic for a change , this is about the players not the manager .You're constantly derailing threads and to be honest adding no value to the board at the moment .

Not been around long enough to give an honest opinion but I'm getting there. Fair enough if he's got an opinion he's entitled to it and fair enough if he's mad then he's mad but he's not reading the thread and that's what I dint understand here. It's about players and **** all to do with Laudrup, what's so difficult to understand. It's a good thread too and doesn't deserve any bollocks.
Like I said earlier Vasquez and Tiendalli do my napper in
