Something about these Sunday games and 1.30 kick off that I like and all the better knowing its a full house, Liverpool are coming to town and with their strike force it will be a real test, one I expect us to overcome. Win lose or draw we know before we start what it will mean to us but a win is there today, biased yes, rose tinted specs yes, confident yes. All is made even better after our friends fantastic effort at Stoke yesterday, oh I know, 5-1 they will shout but itââ¬â¢s having a very hollow ring at the moment. That reminds me, must try and find a village for bigdownunder, maybe an advert in country life. I will be outside in my usual place to greet Mr Carroll when that bus comes over the brow of the hill, Iââ¬â¢m sure he will be assured the warmest of welcomes, see you there scatty. Going to the game, in the pub, at home on sky or in some far flung corner of the world, no matter how you watch just enjoy the day my friends.
its days like this i envy you lads, the live match, chance to go 7th, im staying sober today as i dont want to miss a thing, i'll be watching the game and listening to a packed house roaring the lads on, good luck safc and to all you going to the game
I have asked the question on the Newcastle board mate, why we dont have the banter these days, lets see what happens.
Not sure about the 1:30 kick off Syd. I like my Saturday afternoon 3 o'clocks. No hurry getting out of my cot, fried sarnies for brekkie, out for a pint or 8 with the cuddlies then on to watch the love of our lives. Sunday kick offs usually mean hangovers on a school day
Agree with MLF - Sat 3 o'clock for me please!! Changing the routine for a mid morning brunch, THEN out to the club with the lads for a gargle or 2 before the match. Getting out the SoL at 4 will leave a long session ahead that my liver is already groaning at. I'm really looking forward to this one, we owe the scousers for earlier in the season and I'm sure we'll all give Ann Carol a warm welcome home to the NE. Haway the Lads
I've never felt so confident about taking 3 points off Liverpool;the day gets better as Ellis Short is supposedly going to address the fans today and outline his commitment to the club.Let's forget about Suarez being the most hated man in Ghana-better than being the most hated at the SOL if he scored the winner today.A brace from Gyan will do nicely.
It's been a long time coming Syd, well, 2 weeks actually but it feels like forever doesn't it? We're more than capable of getting the 3 points and i expect us to get at them from the whistle, should be a fast paced exciting game played to a packed stadium. I believe there is to be a mark of respect to the victims of the Japan disaster and our very own Mr Ellis Short is making a statement to the fans today, i think via SAFCTV and it may be in the match program but that's just me guessing. I can't wait, i'm wishing my life away here. HAWAY THE LADS.
Just about to leave now. Can't wait! Seems like an age since the last home game. I am in the North Stand Row 8 and I shall be singing my heart out!!!. Mind you that usually clears the place rather than inspire people to join in
Have to say I like 3.00 pm Saturday kick offs, after a game of golf, then home to the local for a couple of pints ideal day. I also think crowds would be bigger with regular saturday kIck offs, cos' moving times around brings hassle with arrangements
