I would have normally put this on the boxing forum, but this is huge for Australian sport. Big Daddy becomes the first Aussie to clinch a heavyweight title. For us, this is up there with taking the Americas Cup in 1983. Big Daddy rules.
Nice one, i didn't think he'd do it to be honest. The WBA are talking of having just one championship belt instead of the 3 they currently have and have decided to have a tournament to figure it all out. This was part of that, as will be Fury/Klitschko and so was Luiz Ortiz knocking out Tony Thompson last night aswell. I would imagine the plan now is for Ortiz and Browne to fight with the winner getting a crack at the 'super' champion which will be either Fury or Klitschko.
I don't think Browne is going to go too far Smoke. Although it was by far the best effort he's ever put in, the likes of Fury and Wilder look a class above him. I read somewhere that the winner has a mandatory against Puerto Rican Fres Oquendo. But in this game, who knows what will happen?
