Wanted to put up a horse for tomorrow so thought i would just start this thread. already posted this on refugees.

Anyone bothered having a look at the bumper at Worcester tomorrow.

There is an exceptionally interesting runner in the form of Rysbrack, a gelding out of Super Tassa, who is a half brother to two Godolphin runners. One being the very talented and group 2 winner Sky Surfers with the other being Covert Ambition a horse who was second in two listed races and was rated 110.

Talk about being bred in the purple, especially for the NH sphere. Surely this, on paper, looks the most interesting runner tomorrow. i wonder if there will be a punt on him?even if there isn't i might try and start on of my own.

    * a Selkirk gelding out of Super Tassa (a Lahib mare)

***** Also note Super Tassa was a group winning mare, winning Group 3, 2 and 1 races including the Yorkshire Oaks.

I'm seriously talking my self into a bet on this one.

    2:20-Brave Beauty

Improved a great deal when winning a 2m2f Marse Novice Hurdle at Downpatrick in March.Has finished 2nd last 3 starts but will take all the beating if staying 3m.Trainer/Jockey combo have a great record here.

    2:50-Now This Is It

A Bumper and Hurdling winner at this track and made a impressive start to his chasing career when winning easily at Cartmel last month despite not jumping well,Sure to improve on that and this small field will help,Pure Faith the big danger on his 2nd to Jack Black Blues at Ffos Las.

    3:20-Golden Call

Won twice in points and created a taking impression when winning a Tipperary Bumper in the Spring.Has since finished 2nd in another Bumper at Listowel and that is about the best form on offer here.Yard do well here and bound to go close on hurdling debut.

    3:50-St Killians Run

Has taken a while for the penny to drop for his new yard but was better than ever when just beaten off this mark at Hexham over this trip 10 days ago.A reproduction of that form would be enough to win this here in the hands of the MURF.

    4:20-Bold Perk

Won a point in May after leaving Daniel O'Sullivan before winning on Debut for David Pipe over fences at Hereford earlier this month by a Distance.Finished 2nd over hurdles on sunday but now back over fences should win this here under a penalty,Due to go up 13 pounds soon.

    4:50-Dunowen Point

Xan take a strong hold in his races but has jumped really well when winning his last 2 starts,His best performance coming the last day when making all in a handicap at Newton Abbot last Week. Can go very close here under a penalty.

Call Me a Mug Punter but i have stuck all these 6 horses in a heinz

This will either be the best decision i have ever made or the worst

  3. Onto my early selections for today, in the 3.30 Catterick there are a number of well handicapped runners and a couple that have caught my eye are available at attractive odds namely HORATIO CARTER 11/1, MY GACHO 18/1, MALCHEEK 12/1 and MUHADEEL 14/1, however, my money will be with the Ruth Carr trained ORPSIE BOY 14/1 whos runs off a nice mark, has a cracking draw and with drying conditions I think he has a great opportunity to get back to winning ways. His recent run is best forgotten, however, prior to that he has shown signs of wanting further, I think the extra 1f will be beneficial and with the booking of the talented Mr De Sousa I think this could be another very nicely priced Ruth Carr winner, but as always will be going EW.

In the 3.50 Perth once again there are a number of useful types running in a 3m Handicap Chase, however, my selection here is the NTD trained NUDGE AND NURDLE 6/1 who has C&D form and is running off a winning mark and Paddy Brennan is given the ride after leaving the stable last year.

3.40 Worcester YOUNGSTOWN 16/1 runs off an absolutely cracking mark and has a 7lb claimer on board and goes well on this ground and could gain a first win for his new stable since changing hands from Mr McCain back in May.

Catterick 2.30 - Excelette - A fillies maiden that looks rather competitive on paper but it probably will only take a modest performance to win this, and I think Excelette is the one to be with in this heat. She showed a good deal of speed last time and I think this race should be ideal for her, she is drawn to attack in stall 2. The yards horses are getting into good form and I think we might see another improvement in her form here. 1pt win 5/2 BOG

Catterick 3.00 - Armiger - This race is another that looks competitive at a modest level, and I think Armiger probably has the best form in the race and I also think he will be tough to beat here if he gets a good start. He ran in a good Windsor maiden last time out, making all for a long way before weakening in the last furlong. 1pt win 9/4 BOG

Chepstow 6.10 - Moustache - I really like this Hannon trained colt, he made a very eyecatching debut at Newbury and I think this race is weaker. I also think Moustache should come on for his debut and any improvement would make him very tough to beat in this maiden. He is too short to have a good bet on but 1pt win 4/7 BOG

Kempton 7.50 - Impossible race to weigh up, it could be a very interesting maiden in which Godolphin are double handed against promising horses from Gosden, Hannon and Prescott. Its a race for the video section.

Hardy, I have no idea when it comes to bumpers, but I did notice that Lough Derg Way came in for serious support last time out. 10 into 6 and only beaten just under 6L when on the pace most of the race. When the tempo was cranked up, he seemed to spit the bit. He dropped out the back, hard ridden. But he started to warm to his task over the last furlong. I don't know why it's been off the scene or 80 days though, but you'd have to thing that he must have done himself a bit of an injury. At 12-1 he might be worth a small each way saver.

My nap for the day is the one I posted by accident yesterday. The same horse that Nass picked. (sorry mate) :)

Catterick. 14:30 Excelette. I'm a bit more confident that Nass, but that's a dangerous thing.

Great to see you still posting on here Cyc. I like to think of you all those thousands of kilometres away looking at bumpers at Worcester and fillies maidens at Catterick, warms the cockles it does.

Nass: Hope you have recovered from your accident mate, good to see you are still firing in the 'winners' :emoticon-0116-evilg

Cyc: Hope life down under is still going well.

I am against you in the 230 Catt as have been told Al Doha is fancied by Kevin Ryan, been working well with a couple of 2yo's that have won already. Quite short for a debutant though.

330: Ollie Pears horses are going well and Last Sovereign must go well as a CD winner drawn nice and low.

Yea, accessibility is a big plus i think. Comes to life at different times but as long as there's some general usage it can keep going i reckon, it'll always wax and wane.

Bold Perk (nap) 4.20 Perth on @ 10/11 due to go up in weight next week, Pipe hasn't sent it to Perth for nothing.....well that's the theory.

Emulous 7.30 Fairyhouse on @ 3/1 with PP last night. Beat Lolly For Dolly lto and we all saw how impressive she was at Ascot just the other week. Plenty of support for this one already, now into 15/8. Far from a cert but was deffo value at 3/1.

    Afternoon all

EMOLOUS is a confident NAP tonight at Fairyhouse - went past Lolly For Dolly like she wasn't there last time out. Given LOLLY FOR DOLLY is a very good filly herself and gave that form a huge boost by winning at Royal Ascot makes Emolous look even more impressive. Emolous looks a nice improving type and should be able to concede weight all around :)

Afternoon, people. Nothing for me today. The 'no bet' banner is therefore fluttering in the breeze.

Interesting thing for me re yesterday's racing though was that old boy Ellison ran 2 horses in seperate claimers (one won the other was runner-up) and both beasts got claimed by other trainers! Ouch!

Afternoon, RV. It's Friday isn't it re Advanced??? Being a sentimental fool I'm sure I'll be on the old boy. But in saying that I do think he is quite leniently treated at the moment off a mark off 92 (minus the lovely Amy's allowance).

Friday's Donny heat does look quite a strong one though but that should guarantee a nice price.
