Several reasons for backing DUKE OF DESTINY 7-1 Lingfield 5.45. He races off a mark 1lb lower than when running THE GREAT GABRIAL to a short head over course and distance in October. Blinkers are fitted for the first time and very possible that will eke out some improvement. George Baker takes back the ride from apprentice Cliff Lee. Good enough reasons to have a bit of a punt at what looks a decent price. I think he will go off favourite.
Shasta Daisy 4/1 makes her handicap debut at Lingfield tomorrow, she went close to beating Muteela in a maiden last year over course and distance, was too bad to be true first time this season but ran well at Kempton on her last start. They didnt go much of a gallop and she got caught flat footed in a sprint finish but stayed on really nicely, on the face of it 75 doesnt look overly lenient but she is a lovely filly and I hope she can get off the mark tomorrow and go on from there.
Gotta take you on Bob in that Ffos Las race. The switch to Newland will have to eke out bags of improvement if his import is to win and as it was with Queen Jessie I am sceptical. It wouldn't be the first time he has worked his magic though! My one for what its worth is JUMP UP 12-1 who has three times at Ffos Las and nowhere else. He didn't take to chasing last year and is back over hurdles off a mark that he has already won off. His C&D win was off 98 and tomorrow he runs off 95. Looks quite likely that Bowen has lined him up for this and at 12-1 is well worth an each way dabble.
He improves everything a stone minimum and Irish ratings are always wrong in line with revised English marks. Most of the field are LTO winners (the fav multiple) and they'll mostly be wrong at the weights now because of their success. I will be shocked if this is out of the three.
Nadal is best priced 13/10 to win the French Open. He's won 63 of 64 matches there and looks strong to me. Murray won't beat him in the semi and Novak awaits in the final should the expected happen. 13/10 is a fair price for a guy with that record IMHO and worth a punt.
Hi all Again nothing jumps out at me today but hopefyl I can at least get a place witheach one: 645 KEMP- SHAGAH 440 LING- SKI SLOPE 335 TIPP- BATTLE OF MARATHON Goodluck all  P.S. who did we go for at Kempton Stick???
Bob I see that The Geezgeez GeeGee is out tonigh, surely you gonna be on although 5/6 but short but doesn't look a bad price for a 4 runner race where the others have shown nothing literally! Coz they haven't raced lol or they showed nothing of promise
Hello, troops. Nothing for me today but the most intriguing runner has to be my old fave, Montbazon, making his flat bow at the age of 7 at Kempers Park (6.10). It does look a very tough assignment for the old boy though as his opponents include Desert Snow, what a lovely name for a filly by the way, who was just touched of by subsequent Listed winner, Sultanina, on her sole start to date, old boy Gosden’s Saarrem and Mustadaam who has run eyecatchingly in a couple of maidens and is still in the ‘King Edward VII’. One to watch closely though, methinks. Today, is the calm before for the storm though. I’m hoping tomorrow is Momentus, I say Momentus. Good luck all.
