There's no love lost between ourselves and Aston Villa for obvious reasons and yes, this would be a good signing for us, but come on really ? If Villa were to get relegated perhaps this could happen but otherwise I can't see it.

Hell yeah! He's a good player! Love it if we send him down and nick this guy. He's better than benteke in my view

 

Think his contract is up next summer so not too far fetched.

Would be a good signing IMO.

 

He may have to do the Lambert walk though (LOL)

 

I feel he would be a better signing than Gary Hooper. I'll take the rumour with a 'pinch of salt' though, as the Daily flail's sources are not the best!!!!

I think we are after a player of his "type" in the transfer window. Him, RVW sort of player.

 

Weimann is what they call an up-and-comer. Very impressed by him towards the end of last season and so far this season. Not sure if he's better than Benteke, but he's a more balanced player. Would be a good signing, but we need to make sure we improve our service forward first and foremost I think (as well as DM cover). Need someone who can grab the game by the scruff of its neck (like Tettey) and control/pass like Hoolahan. Won't be cheap.

 

Biglia anyone!

 

I was planning on waiting until the end of the season for a thread about who you'd want from relegated teams, because doing it early might bite us in the backside. But, if Villa were to go down then he'd be up there.

 

I'll eat my arm off if we got biglia - think he'll end up with one of the big boys - but we can hope - whatever happens, the summer looks exciting... weimann I've been impressed with - but could only see this happening if they went down. Lambert wouldn't entertain it otherwise. Saw we were linked to bent yesterday - that wouldn't put a smile on my face.

We need a player like Biglia in the middle of the park desperately. It is one of the most important roles in modern football unfortunately and every big-boy has a "biglia" (carrick, pirlo, silva, wilshere etc)

A striker and this middle of the park ball player is top of my list for the summer deffo.

 

Don't see Villa going down myself.They are looking sorted and full of life.It's Sunderland I fear for their remaining fixtures just look horrendous.Six points max IMO.

 

But there's no players we would want from them is there?
