I just clicked the 'Insert link' button instead of the 'Insert video' button. (if I'd embedded the video no ****er would have clicked on it).

After you've been prompted for the URL it appears twice in your reply box. First time inside the tag, second time between the [URL]...stance with whatever text you want to appear.
