After seeing a number of threads on here I think the general consensus is disappointed and disgusted with the performance from the team put out yesterday

Whilst it was a weakened team the entire point of having a squad is so a manager can rotate the team to suit the needs of the team

Whilst Hull did score 3 good goals, the fact was it was due to 3 individual errors, they played better than us and the ref seemed to think they could do no wrong however in terms of getting the goals it was the captain and the vice captain making crucial errors

Now a few people are getting on about Poyet fielding a weakened side in a quarter final, that team still had first team squad players in it who should of been able to do a job...Gus will of thought this prior to the game

However I think a few players have shown their true abilities and hopefully Gus has seen this and it gives him an indication of what he needs to do in summer

Fielding the weakened side to me says that he gave us our day out at Wembley, fielding a strong side against City and doing what he could to win the game, but he knows his main aim this season, set by Ellis is to stay in the league as that is where the money is and from that we could strengthen to Gus' plan

Also the main point of the FA cup is Europe, now whilst this would be an immense achievement, after watching mainly our second string yesterday, would you really want to? They were embarrassed by Hull, never mind by a half decent Europa League team

Personally think going out of the FA cup could of seriously benefited us. The three games in hand we have can be played with full squads and can fully focus on staying up.

Now lets beat Palace and get back on track!

I had no belief after seeing the lineup that wed win. Although being critical for it is a different matter altogether. Thevworst thing would have been a draw. Hopefully this will spur us to take advantage of these games in hand.

We have a fairly decent squad and they should have been good enough to win.well we didn't and now we have to make sure of our survival.the let Gus's improve us and move. On.

It was a poor performance from the team apart from Bardsley I was really disappointed in Hulls tactics in targeting Cattermole.
Meylor who I had a bit of respect for has totally allienated himself from the Sunderland fans and it goes to show that O,Shea thinks the same pushing him away at the end of the game.
I know we had 5 strong players on the bench but the side yesterday also showed what we have lacked all season a STRIKER, I still think Fletcher is injured and not at his best and I hate to say it but Hull will stay up because they spent £12m on two strikers we have a strike force of £26m not even getting close to those two Fletcher £12m Altidore £6m Whickam £8m. I am not particularly blaming Gus for this but it was there to see in Jan and we failed to act.
Unfortunately the draw what we all hoped for had we won, happened a draw with Sheff Utd so team you have cost us another day out at Wembley if not two, I hope you are proud of your performance

You can say what you like lads, and paper over the cracks but that selection and performance could come back to haunt us.
I think the SOL will be flat as fart and Palace well up for it.

Palace will be up for it, and they are decent on the break, we need to be right up for this one and Gus has some tough decisions to make. We need to keep our heads and nerve and make them the team that cracks first ,. Its a tough ask but I think on our day we can do it. Haway the Lads.
