For those of you who like to exercise your brains, the following are all clues for Premier or Football League Clubs. Some are harder or more cryptic than others, some of them are trick questions. You need to know a bit of geography, history, Latin, French, football trivia, nicknames, grounds and general knowledge to get the link. For example, midweek blue would be Sheffield Wednesday. You've got the general idea - so far all but one of the answers are right. In fact they're all technically right but one isn't the answer I'm looking for!
OK so smany mistakenly believe that Plymouth was the home of the Mayflower when it only stopped there after leaving Southampton because the Speedwell was falling apart and would never have made it to the New World.
For No.10 one could always cite Boston Utd, as they are [as well s Plymouth] nicknamed The Pilgrims. However, the clue being Home of the Mayflower I will throw a spanner in the works by referring to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mayflower_steam_tug_1861 which says this particular boat's 'home' was Gloucester - so Gloucester City. It currently resides as a museum ship at Bristol Harbour (Bristol City/Rovers)
There are still 8 out of 20 you haven't got yet. Just a reminder, they are all Premier or Football League (Championship, League 1 or 2). Also, upper and lower case selection is very deliberate and will help you avoid red herrings! I'm off out but 'll check at about 1030 tonight.
