Brilliant bowling from the spinners. Half way to a home SF (six wins from eight should win the group - at the very least it would be 2nd place and a home QF). Now that Markram has shown himself to be a more than capable 6th bowler over the last two games, I hope we revert back to playing Donald (probably ahead of Berg, but if not then ahead of Fuller). Berg and Fuller are both no.8s for me, so I'm not a fan of seeing either of them coming in at 7. Had it not been for the Rilee-Dawson partnership, we'd have had Fuller at the crease much, much earlier than we'd have wanted. There were more than 20 overs left when we lost our 4th wicket. It'll be interesting if we use a new wicket on Friday, or if we use that wicket again for the third time. Being a used wicket, it clearly benefitted our spinners there. But you wouldn't usually use the same wicket for three games running.
Annoyingly (though understandably) an overseas player can't feature in the KO stages of the one-day cup without having first been selected for a group stage match. So we could be left short, should we duly qualify (got high hopes for today, although potential for rain this afternoon). No overseas player for the KO stages would hamper us. (Steyn played in the final group game last year, which is why he was then available for the KO stages.) That said, I'm not entirely ruling out us coming to an agreement with SA over Markram. Both the QFs (if we don't finish 1st) and the SFs take place within the week immediately following when Markram is due to leave us - which is still two weeks before SA play their first WC warm-up game. (Alas the final takes place the day after SA play their first warm-up match.)
