Great player but I always thought he was dirty and this proves it. The Can stamp definitely intended imo.
Both stamps were definitely intentional, but the Can one was the more obvious as Can wasn't in motion when the stamp happened. Costa is very cute in the way that he reads his surroundings - he pin-points his target beforehand and that enables him to deliver the blow without even looking at his target. Then after delivering the blow, in the aftermath he plays the victim by shrugging his shoulders and backing off trying to get more opposition players booked for retaliation. It's so obviously intentional. He's involved in too many incidents for it to be seen as 'chance' or 'accidental'. My only gripe is that it's taken this long to get him.
Glad he has been charged, definitely worthy of a suspension. He's got form, just look at footage of him playing against Real Madrid in previous seasons, spitting on his fingers and flicking it at players, disgusting. Of course Mourinho will back him and continue his nonsense about an agenda against Costa, but what do you expect from someone who will gouge an opponents eye from behind.
Costa is a very nasty piece of work, and that's an opinion I formed many months ago. Mourinho, who journalists fawn over, thinks they were accidental tackles. He is in danger of losing all his credibility if he persists with such nonsense.
Best comment I've seen was something along the lines of "If Liverpool get one more stamp from Costa this match they'll get a free coffee".
