The Special One. As far as I can see this man has set Chelsea back a good 5 years and has left us playing catch up to the big clubs in the division and ever further afield from top European clubs. And for what gain in his latest fabled tenure? Narrowly winning a the PL last season by crawling and falling over the finish line. Much like Man Utd under SAF's final season, they didn't win that league that year, no one else won that's all. I tried to list the big setbacks Mourinho has created and some of the things he has done to create those setbacks alone. Feel free to add to them: 1.) Sold fans player of the season 2 years in a row, Juan Mata. Mistake. 2.) Loaned and sold one of the most prolific strikers in Europe over the last few years in Lukaku. Mistake. Look at him now and his value. 3.) Sold Schurrle. Was doing very well for us and seemed to grab a vital goal every time he came off the bench. Mistake. 4.) Sold DeBruyne for peanuts and he's an exceptional player worth 5 times what we sold him for less than a year after we sold him! Mistake. 5.) Sold the best gk the club has has ever seen, who commanded a defence and led instilled great confidence in the back 4. Mistake. I mean I have seen zero evidence of Courtois time at Chelsea that he is a world class gk or even one of the top 5 in the PL. 6.) Turned the best prospect in Europe (Hazard) into dog doodoo somehow. ... His predecessor Hiddink looks like a tired out of date tactically behind man making the wrong decisions over and over again with the same results. Can anyone tell me what other team looking to win tournaments home or in Europe would pick the two inept calamity clowns of Cahill and Mikel two games in a row despite. It's the worst squad I've seen in a long time, and with no Europe next year, it's looking like we will have a task at bringing in improvements. But whomever comes in needs great PL pedigree (namely a whole new defence and solid reliable gk - sell Courtois while he still has some value) and a much more consistent hard working central midfielder because there's a reason nobody else was willing to fork out a fortune on a slow incapable Fabregas.
And now he'll move to Man Utd and make all the same mistakes over again Man Utd fans will be so glad to have anyone but Moyes Van Gaal that they won't notice until it's too late

I actually agree with quite a lot of this post but that's right now. At the time those decisions were made, they looked like good ones. KDB and Lukaku had barely played 10 games between them for us and it would've been stupid to turn down 50M for the pair. The mistake was not giving them time to settle in the first place. Lukaku i can understand more as it was clear we signed Costa to be our No.9. Courtois i think has been a huge disappointment but lets be honest, who would've expected to say that after seeing his form for Atletico? He looked as good as anybody else in world football and it was right to sell Cech whilst we could and promote Courtois after a faultless loan spell. Looks like a poor decision now but at the time it definitely wasn't. I don't think Jose ruined Hazard, we won the league with both last season and Hazard was in the form of his life.If anything Jose made him better from two seasons ago. Cahill and Mikel i can completely understand. But i think this is where our biggest mistake was made. Not improving our squad in the summer. We had a chance to pull futher clear of everybody else but missed the chance and here we our now. This summer will be our most important since Roman joined the club IMO.
