Thanks for the help - I could not find the button to reduce the size of the files. Everything is about 6meg but I have been using a Sony camera.
I have the same problem with my phone, as photos of the great outdoors tend to be between 5 and 7MB. However, simply sending them to myself and posting them on here from my iPad never fails.
“The Nine Stones, also known as the Devil's Nine Stones, the Nine Ladies, or Lady Williams and her Dog, is a stone circle located near to the village of Winterbourne Abbas in the southwestern English county of Dorset. Archaeologists believe that it was likely erected during the Bronze Age” I had no idea, will have a look sometime
I have always liked history and archaeology. "Time Team" has started on television when I started to work in Exeter and the bloke who always fascinated me on that programme was Stuart Ainsworth who had the task of surveying the landscape in each episode. His assessments made a big impression on me and driving along the A35 I was astonished at what it was possible to see. If I am ever a passenger in a car, I still keep an eye on the landscape in case something interesting crops up. It is odd that these stones have been assessed by experts as being Bronze Age as I had always believed that henges were Neolithic monuments. There appear to be a few if similar design in Dorset which are smaller in scale and different in shape to the other henges throughout the British Isles.
I am planning to visit soon and when I do will provide the necessary I discover I drive past them quite a bit, but as I'm usually driving I hadn't noticed EDIT: Although from the OS it appears that there's no footpath to them and they are on the side of the A35 with no stopping place near. The UK's most inaccessible ancient monument? Although English Heritage say they are open 24/7 and free to visit
Father in law had some spare runner beans, so he left them on the drive, I picked them up and planted them in hanging baskets. A bit of low stress training and they'll hang over the sides and trail to the ground.
They get a bit confused, and then go ah **** it and start flowering . Put plenty of silicon gel granules in the mix so touch wood, they should be quite productive
Spent all day just pottering about, have now run out of pots other than plastic ones and we've still got a few trays of various bedding plants to find homes for. I'm going to set up the hydro thing tomorrow so will post pics - I love a new project I'm also going to use an old fishtank and try to grow something using aquaponics where you have fish in the tank and plants above that are fed with the nutrients from fish waste. I'll rig that up with a MacGyvered solar fountain pump to circulate the water.
Tested the pump and connections on my hydro system today, need to increase the size of the drain pipes...its a work in progress
