Cairney and McKenna? - or - Koren and Evans? Who would you choose? We now have two pairings and, I suspect, Koren and Evans will get picked for the Watford game. http://www.hullcityafc.net/page/NewsDetail/0,,10338~2485966,00.html
That's what I reckon. But, if one gets injured, should NP change the pair (assuming it's not in the match!)?
This can't even be questioned. They are both playing the best they ever had in a City shirt together in the CM position. So why change it?
I've done one, here's the results..... please log in to view this image Fairly conclusive, I think you'll agree.
The Blue one is James Harper on his own The Green one is Cairney and Mckenna The Orange one is Koren and Evans So where going to Harper on his own brilliant result ha ha
Let's not have a poll - Let's FIGHT.
I don't see why either partnership has to be exclusively the two mentioned. Is there something wrong with other combinations? The current two are obviously doing really well, but I still wouldn't mind seeing Cairney in for Pusic, with Koren going to the wing. I think it's important to remember Koren was playing really well and scoring before being moved to CM, so you can't say it's just down to him playing CM.
We've looked a different team with Koren in the middle, Nige would have to be either mad, or very drunk, to stick Koren back on the wing.
It's been two games since he moved to CM and we've played well in both, but we were also playing well before that. I agree that we have been even better in those two games but I don't see anything to suggest it's just down to Koren playing in the middle. In Science that isn't a fair test.
It might not be scientific, but if you try a new midfield pairing for two games and those two games provide your two best performances of the season, you're unlikely to **** about with it.
