I know the majority of us are aware of this fund and award effort, I have been enjoying this developing story for weeks and it is about to come to it's finale..

Some of the lads thought it would be great to have a special award given to the man who scored the goal that put the "gasheads" out of the football league, this was of course Colin Daniel lately of Mansfield Town who has now joined Port Vale.

Organised independently, entirely by the members of OTIB this fund has now reached it's target, a magnum of Bristol City FC champagne has been acquired and with a thank you message will be presented to the player by Scotty Murray at the Port Vale game next Tuesday - if all goes well. Any excess cash will be presented to a chosen charity.

Just a professional doing his job.

Mansfield on the day were what English football is all about. Their season was over, but they did not just roll over - they went to try and win the game.

We play Mansfield at Adams Park tomorrow and i understand there will be a standing ovation on 36 minutes as our way of saying thank you for winning at Rovers, and i doubt their fans will be buying their own beers before the game.
