You're on (for the £20) If Chris Powell is at Southend United all next season I believe they will finish in the top 6. An automatic spot might be beyond them considering that Sunderland and Birmingham City might be slugging it out, but Shrewsbury look as if they could do it this season so nothing is impossible. Had Karl Robinson remained at Charlton for the rest of this season, I think Southend would have finished above us in May.

He'll back out of these bets. He could not afford a measly £10 bet with me on Robinson. I knew Robinson was going to get the gig but I felt sorry for Mr van Gerwen and he obviously(by his dress sense) needs the money.

Come on chaps! If Chris Powell comes back to Charlton this bet is off anyway. As Royston says, why wouldn't those of us who are fans of Powell put our money behind our faith in him and back him to finish top 6 with Southend next season? I'm happy to put up £20 that says he can do it.
