Be interesting to see how things pan out. Still think players in their prime will still be drawn to the big 3/4 leagues ahead of them though.

Jist pissed off they go for random Brazilians and we've not managed to palm some of our dross off to them for £50m <grr>

I was in China this year and spoke about this a lot. The Chinese seek to be the biggest and best at everything. With their massive population they will have future income sewn up for years. Long term expect them to own half of europes elite clubs and have major stakes in the broadcasters too.

China aint the impoverished country it once was chaps.

Well they own some of our infrastructure like Northumbrian Water. And countless others around the world. Huge population and they are driven to be the world leading economy. Get used to it because the whole privatisation of these major resources/infrastructures won't be reversed - its too lucrative. All happening right under our noses with zero concerns raised.

On a side note have you all watched The Big Short? Cracking film. Its about the 2008 housing market collapse and making serious money out of it. Michael Burry is now focusing all his trading on one commodity - water. This guy is a genius and it is an interesting side note to the film.

All these investment firms and banks are at it.

The worlds wealth will remain with the few.

All this money in China being pumped into everything and some nuggets are still adamant that the Rothschild's own 97% of the world's money.

Its funny isn't it, the Rothchilds are very powerful and very rich. However their trillions are no more important than that of other world financial institutions like Deutsche Bank, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, HSBC Holdings, BNP Paribas, Japan Post Bank, Crédit Agricole Group, Barclays PLC, Industrial & Commercial Bank of China, Royal Bank of Scotland Group, JP Morgan Chase & Co. etc etc.

They haven't owned anywhere near 97% of the worlds wealth since before WW1 and that was probably a massive exaggeration.

Why let that get in the way of a good all conspiracy theory though eh? Particularly an anti semitic one <laugh>

Oscar has now joined the ranks of the unambitious...

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38414256

...all that money and no legacy.

Sell your career to the Chinese?
I think a good many will.

Sad days for football, but i'm not overly sad at the loss of Oscar - hugely over-rated in my opinion - it just sets a dangerous precedent.

The Chinese central banker said to the Mexican central banker: "First, we feared the wolf - then, we danced with the wolf - now, we want to be the wolf. The notion of a "service" economy is utter bullshit. Manufacturing is the only way to create sustained wealth. If country "A" runs a prolonged trade deficit with country "B," then, over time, the assets of country "A" will migrate to country "B."

Footballers will always follow money, because that's what people do, and let's face it, if they're willing to come to this **** weather for $$$, China's not exactly a repellent.

I think it is a bit of a myth that some top footballers come to England because its supposedly 'the best league in the world'.............. its because PL clubs pay huge wages to bang average players. Who the **** wants to leave Spain and Italy etc to play for Southampton and Stoke!! Its all about the pound notes and if the Chinese pay more then eventually those that are chasing the big money will go there.

My opinion on it all is.................. Meh. Would the PL really have been poorer if Marcellino never came over??
