I may get a shotgun, to scare coyotes off... Think if I find anyone hunting on my land though I'm just calling the police, no desire to be in a gun fight myself. I might learn the banjo though... Sit in the middle of the woods and play bluegrass on it and scare people off.
To be fair, Deliverance was essentially a movie about the Cheese that was relocated to be set in America.
The original went something like this: Four city boys from Warrington decide to go into the backwoods of Latchford for a drink but get seperated and two of them wind up in a pub called the Cheese. One is tied up, helpless, while his friend is forced to drink Carling "drink it like a pig"... To be honest, I can see why they decided to make it take place in Georgia instead. Someone being forced to drink Carling was too brutal for TV back then.
Given the bus load of ****s that turned up last weekend it should be "gap toothed inbred from salford"
Load of young Sweaties in there last night preparing for Creamfields. Accent sounded like they were from Edinburgh, not Glasgow. They were sound until they started putting ****ing dance music on the jukie. Got some playful **** then Next weekend is Alex's big pay day. It's the Neighbourhood Weekender music festival and the Cheese is the nearest pub to Victoria Park where it's taking place. It'll be absolutely ****ing rammed in there. In the past, they've had two tills. One for regulars and one for festival people. Alex has ethics, so it's one price for all. Should be some nice flange in there, though
Took Kenny for a **** yesterday morning and saw a wagon with portaloos on it obviously heading to Viccy Park for this weekend's festival. I've hardly heard of any of the bands/acts. Of the ones I've heard of we have Gerry Cinnamon (****e), James (OK), The Coral (decent), Jake Bugg (what's the ****ing fuss?), Shed Seven (heard of them, but that's it), Lightning Seeds (didn't know they were still going), Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott (never liked them). I'm not going. Trouble is, the pub will be chocker and although rain isn't forecast, it's not cracking the flags, so the beer garden looks a slightly iffy option. Never mind, some new female faces to look at
Is james still going? I thought that was a one hit wonder? (all sit down?) Lightening seeds are the same, must be desperate for cash. they reformed for that ****e its coming home muck and must have ran out of cash during covid. paul heaton was fairly decent back in the house martins and that.
Sit Down. Probably a one-hit wonder in the sense of the charts, but they've produced well over a dozen albums and had a strong live presence over the years.
Kenny should like them then since they seem to sing alot about dog commands. Do they also have songs called roll-over and shake?
