I think it's a ridiculous thing to do for a footballer, which is why I have my doubts as to why anybody in his position would even consider it. I can't see him being able to salvage much from his career though, the abuse will be never ending from all corners and I can't see it being just verbal abuse he gets. Was he screwed over by a slag who he gave a bit of bus fair home and made her feel like ****, or did he genuinely go about this crime intentionally? Does he deserve another shot in football?
I remember Lags Eleven from some comic or other in my childhood. I seem to remember that the centre forward was called Nutcase Norris. Obviously a much more innocent time in those days and I can't see them being able to print such stuff now. As for Evans, the commercial side of any interested club will have the last word on this, as employing a convicted rapist would be very bad for business. I think he will disappear without a trace.
I would post my colours to the mast he is was some violent rapist who jumped his victim in the street. He had sex with a girl who was that drunk she could well have told him "stick it in the top corner Chad". Soo... Bit like Tyson, im a massive fan and have had the pleasure of shaking his hand. I read his rape trial im depth and ive never believed for one second that he did it.
Nutcase Norris.... That's the type of thing they would have had in Porridge, far too non-PC for today.
It's a hard one to call without knowing the victim and what kind of girl she is. I'd hazard a guess she was a gold digging slutbucket who got told to ram it after she'd been ploughed by him and his mate, but that's just speculation from my part.
convicted on the evidence of a lady(loosely speaking) who was sober enough to consent with one, but to drunk to say no to the other who went for sloppy seconds. I hope her parents are proud of her. Leave him alone there was a player who played after killing someone while drink driving.
Tricky one this. On one hand rape is a vile crime. On the other, he's done his time and is entitled to rejoin society. TBH I don't have a clue...
"He'll never know how he's made me feel"... I think in this case, he has a good idea actually love. I shouldn't joke, it's ****ing terrible. I just don't believe the conviction 100% so I think I'm not taking it that seriously.
In all honesty, a footballer of his stature could pull most of the 9/10 lasses in the world, I just struggle to get my head round why a footballer would rape. The mind boggles even more when you consider that this woman consented to sex with one man, but not this multi millionaire footballer who jumped on her half an hour later. It stinks.
As sid says, he's done his time, and if he'd been found guilty of anything else, he'd have swarms of do-gooders around him lashing out piles of taxpayers' money into 'rehabilitation'. So where are all the do-gooders now? Or are the majority of them women? Is that the real answer here? Is there a need for the Sex Discrimination people to start investigating Social Services? What do you think?
It's impossible to know if he did it or not, and on that basis I'd say he deserves a shot. The Blades would have went up that season had he not been sent down, if he didn't do it she's the lowest form of scum. We'll just never know, but as above I find it hard to believe given the fact, as mentioned, she'd gone back with the 2 of them and already banged one. Mind, were was his mates evidence in defence?
He could change his name by simply moving the d..thus Ched Evans becomes Che Devans....it's got a bit of ring of steel, action man about it....'Che Devans...Jungle Trekker' or 'Che Devans...Himalayan Slayer'. Far better than Ched Evans Convicted Rapist.
For me he's a convicted rapist through the courts of law. Scum! If it were your lass, your mother or sister or a friend that happens to be a girl, would you expect to see him lording it up as a professional footballer?
Agree with the sentiment, but it's his job mate. If he can't play, no person ever convicted of rape can ever work. Not the real world I'm afraid.
