http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17112269 Surely this plays in the hands of the teams at the bottom? Rudderless this weekend and looking at possibly a 5th choice manager - Wilkins!! My word!
I must say , I've had the pleasure of meeting the Wolves players, and what a marvellous bunch they are. They do a lot for charity, wonderful human-beings. Let Ray have the job..
Surely our lads are far more generous - we gifted them 3 points towards their worthy plight recently.
Steve Morgan, the Wolves owner, is a real knobhead. He saw the likes of Bruce, Warnock and Curbishley looking round for a job and thought that one of them would jump at the chance of managing Wolves. I think that most possible targets know what a fool he was for getting rid of MacCarthy without having sounded a few people out first. No plan B.
Wolves aren't getting the likes of Poyet from Brighton and McDermott from Reading as they reckon they have more chance of being in the Premiership next year with their own teams. The current rumour is for Walter Smith, maybe a steady influence if/when they get the drop and need to re-build the team. Must be desperate if they want Uncle Fester!
Had to re-read your comment Eamon. You mentioned football managers that have said no to the Wolves job, and then said No Plan B..I thought what the fook is steve Morgan doing offering the job to a rapper...then re-read and it makes sense. Have to say, whether you like Mick McCarthy or not, he is / was probably the only person that could have kicked a few backsides at Wolves and kept them up.
If that is true re Wolves then 2 drop places for 4 teams. Given that we are not currently in the drop zone, I would hopr that gives us a better than 50% chance.
I understood from my Sauce that when NW went to be interviewed he really really wanted the job but they were only prepared to offer a contract until end of this season. No funds, no transfer window and potentially not even a job if you did keep them up. That wasn't appealing to Warnock or Curbishley and even Bruce he is desperate to get back into management didn't want to be 'et go' twice in a season. McCarthy is one of the best in a relegation scrap, lets get him out and then panic?!!?
Just another lucky guess CB. Still it is a Thursday and Defoe might yet 'resign' from Spurs and take the job of teaboy at Loftus Road after he's parked Mordy's car
There's only one man for this job .. when you are at the bottom and life looks bleak: The return of Dave Jones
Cerny don't be a plank, I thought you were improving. WBA always says 'Sauce' look at his other posts And at least you get context and something meaningful from him rather than a couple of ambiguous words from you. Sounds pretty much spot on what he has said as well.
