I started a thread, now lost, at the begining of the window looking at how the potential starting 11 was changing with new players.

Now I do know some of the players named below wont be in the first 11 but until we sign a replacement its looking like...

    WESTWOOD
    ELMO...TURNER..BRAMBLE..BARDO
    LARSEN..CATTS..GARDENER..SESS
    GYAN..DONG

We can see were we need to buy but to me I can also see the improvements

Think that's what they were saying on somewhere, didn't he pull out of the Irish squad recently through injury?

Still think elmo could do a job as a makeshift centre forward. Wins everything in the air. Dont think it will happen but should have been a consideration last season when we had all of our injuries.

thing is yes he has a great leap, and wins most headers against the opposing teams left back, but its like he has a cubed head, he never gets any telling direction on it (or not often) so can he do powering headers towards goal to be a striker?. never really seen that from him.

its like KJ, i always thought he would be a better defender than a striker (OK he may not be able to tackle) but his headers are more powerful than his shots.

    WESTWOOD
    BARDO..TURNER..BRAMBLE..RICHARD
    LARSSEN..CATTS..GARDENER..SESS
    GYAN..WICKHAM/LONG/DONG

Well the midfield is starting to sort itself and options in attack. Bit more in midfield, old head in attack and the defence still to sort but getting there

I want to see O'Shea at the back, with possibly another experienced, top class defender before I can relax some more.

Now that looks better, sure there will be certain people who will rip it apart though. No pleasing some.

    Swap Bardo and O'Shea.

O'Shea has played many a time at left back for United and Ireland.

Bramble's a Wigan (wrongly alleged) rapist reject. Don't want to end up in court.
    Do you? <whistle>
