I've just had a quick look at the teams in this year's Championship. As ever this is going to be a tough league, Zola and our lads had better hit the ground running. I've seen the prediction league and this made me think of the teams around us this season. What other teams have made big moves in the transfer market? Sheff Wed, Charlton and Huddersfield are newcomers. A lot of changes over the summer, time to try to walk the walk after all of the talk.
Something I learned from last season:- It's a marathon not a sprint. Think we might struggle for wins in the first 3 months with so many new players plus new tactics, style of play etc etc. However, think we might go on a run in the last 2/3 months where we dont lose and win quite a few. As long as I enjoy watching us and we dont go down Im not really that bothered where we finish TBH.
whatever happens, i'm excited to get going! But yep, it's going to be a difficult league. Those that have come down, especially Blackburn, are buying as much as we are! And others are getting busy too in the transfer market...it's going to be interesting, with what seems to be a good use of the youth policy...
