Ref for this game is Christopher Sarginson.

He has been a ref for us once this season, our away game at Plymouth which ended 1-1 and awarded us a late penalty.

He has been ref this season 22 games, issued 67 yellows and 1 red.

In these 22 games, he has been ref in....
    2 Championship games
    9 league 1 games
    8 league 2 games
    1 Capital One cup game
    2 FA cup games
10 times the home side won
7 times the away side won
    5 draws

He is yet to referee a Wycombe game this season. In fact, he didnt referee a game for them last season either! 2nd November 2013 was the last time he was ref in a Wycombe game which ended 1-1 away at Accrington.

The weather will be ok. No rain due. So they cant be saved by a lightning strike again :)

I think we will win this game. The feel good factor around the club and coming back to win Saturday would really boost the players.... I hope. Im predicting 3-1 away win.

Bristol Rovers midfielder Lee Mansell has revealed the importance of the club building momentum from now until the rest of the season.
The Gas currently occupy 7th place in Sky Bet League 2; which sees Darrell Clarke's men sit nicely in the final play offs spot in the Sky Bet League Two table, just one point shy of 5th placed AFC Wimbledon.

With just 15 games remaining, the 33-year-old feels consistency will put the Pirates in a challenging position heading into a potential second consecutive play off campaign, following our dramatic 5-3 penalty shootout win over Grimsby Town in the Vanarama Conference playoff Final.

"I think the result stands us in a good position, to be able to achieve our main goal of finishing in the top seven. Our aspirations are to try and get promoted. We're not too far off a couple of positive results will really cement our place in the Play-Offs, after that we will start looking up the table and focus on the top three."
The midfielder pointed out the improvement in the squad since his arrival from Torquay in the summer of 2014, and insists his collegues are more than capable of sustaining a genuine promotion push.

"I think the squad has got better. It needed to, in order to compete in this league. We have added a wealth of experience to the squad, which has really benefited in us terms of results this season."
Mansell also stressed the importance of results over performances approaching the closing stages of this campaign.

"It doesn't matter the results, three points is a must. A maximum of 45 points are up for grabs, and would like to take them all but realistically it's not going to happen. However what we can do is stay unbeaten during that period."
Moving ahead to Saturday's crunch encounter against Gareth Ainsworth's Wycombe Wanderers, the vice-captain believes that both sides are battling for a top seven finish.

Rovers have recorded two victories over the Chairboys, however the Gloucester born midfielder claims the two victories will not come into mind on Saturday.

"They're in the same position as us, they want to achieve the same targets as us by staking a place in the play offs. We have a good record against them, but on Saturday that counts for nothing, we see it as a completely new project.”
The former Luton Town trainee revealed that despite an injury plagued start to the new season, his overall performances have gradually improved game by game.

"I'm happy where I am. I'm happy with my performances this year, but I would like to add a few more goals to contribute more to the team on an attacking front. However our midfielders have only scored three goals all season, so it’s an area we need to improve on between now until the rest of the campaign.”
With the winning mentality from the previous season, the midfielder feels that they will not see the younger players of the squad to buckle under the pressure.

"We've been in this position before, and that experience will put us in good stead. I know League Two is a different kettle of fish and the opposition are a lot stronger, but complacency won't start to appear amongst the side as they know that’s not acceptable.”

"The one thing we don’t have here is any big time Charlie's, and with this squad is all in it together and we work as one unit. All the boys know their roles and what we expect from each other. Hopefully the lads can use the experience from last season as a way to take us that one step further."

Game Preview - From Vital Wycombe

Wycombe Wanderers entertain Bristol Rovers on Saturday in their 32nd league game of the season. The Chairboys lost 1-0 at league leaders Northampton Town at the weekend, a second half strike from Danny Rose putting paid to the visitors' hopes of banking a battling point.

It was a creditable performance from Gareth Ainsworth's side, although their lack of a cutting edge continues to frustrate the fans.

A single shot on target against the Cobblers took Wanderers' tally to eight accurate efforts in four outings in February, an attacking threat that's not likely to improve a goalscoring record ranked only 19th in league two.

With striker Aaron Amadi-Holloway out on loan, Garry Thompson suspended and Paris Cowan-Hall injured, Wycombe's attacking options are shrinking rather than expanding as they take on Rovers and enter the final third of the season well-positioned for a play-off challenge.

How Wanderers could do with a loanee with the instant impact of Marcello Trotta from a few years ago, or even Fred Onyedinma from last season.

With only five players on the bench on Saturday, and precious few attacking options, you would imagine Ainsworth is scouring the land in search of the right additions to Wanderers' tight-knit squad.

But fans hoping for reinforcement in the creative and finishing departments are getting mixed messages from official sources.

On one hand, despite unbudgeted windfalls from two cup ties with Aston Villa and the sale of Matt Ingram, Wanderers' fans attending a forum on Tuesday were once again told that no funds were available to strengthen the side.

On the other hand, when Amadi-Holloway departed just 14 days ago, Ainsworth told wwfc.com: "We might now have the chance to bring in a striker who will give us a new dimension and hopefully bring us more goals, which is what we've been lacking lately."

The Wycombe faithful will be hoping the true situation is reflected in Ainsworth's quote.

The manager may be sticking to his 61 point target, but the fans have their eyes firmly on the play-offs, and there's a fine line between managing expectations and pouring cold water on the hope that compels supporters to turn up week after week.

Bristol Rovers claimed all three points after coming from behind to beat ten-man Morecambe 2-1 at the Memorial Stadium last weekend.

The Pirates will be delighted with their comeback victory if not their performance, having gone into the game on the back of a 3-1 defeat at promotion rivals Portsmouth.

The gas have won two, drawn one and lost three of their last half-a-dozen league matches, but Saturday's victory saw them clamber back into the play-off places and they currently lie 7th in the League Two table.

They are eight points adrift of the automatic promotion places and one point clear of the three teams immediately below the play-off spots, one of which is Wycombe.

This will be the third time Wanderers have faced Rovers this season, the Gas winning 2-0 in the JPT and 3-0 in the league.

Head coach Darrell Clarke made three changes to his starting line-up last time out with defender James Clarke returning to the side after recovering from a knee problem. Midfielder Chris Lines and striker and leading goalscorer Matty Taylor were also handed recalls.

Winger Billy Bodin and striker Jermaine Easter both dropped to the bench, while Midfielder Lee Mansell missed out after picking up a knock.

Understudy goalkeeper Will Puddy was named on the bench again after six weeks out with the recurrence of a groin injury which required surgery last summer.

James Clarke will be assessed ahead of this weekend's clash with the Chairboys after aggravating his knee at the weekend whilst Lee Mansell also remains doubtful with a slight knee problem.

Striker Ellis Harrison returned from his loan at Hartlepool United with an ankle ligament injury last week and is unlikely to be involved.
