Hey Sports Fans! It’s The Official CanariesSoccer Match Center for the ballgame featuring: Cottagers @ Canaries

Live from The DeliaDome™.

Last time out in The EPL® Canaries were defeated Nothing versus Two by a rampant HotSpurtz outfit, predictably with midfield-linesman G. Bale converting both of HotSpurtz’s score-attempts. Coach Lambert opted for the 1-2-1 midfield, which allowed the HotSpurtz wide-receivers freedom to run the wide routes, putting added pressure on the already shaky Canaries de-fense. It was a bold play-call, but ultimately Canaries were undone by the more experienced EPL Franchise.

Coach Lambert: “My lads have got nothing to be ashamed of and nothing to be disgraced about. The goals were disappointing. But you've also got to remember the magnitude of the team we were playing against. We gave it a right good go.”

In the matchup @ The DeliaDome™ versus HotSpurtz, W. Hoolahan was man-marked with great effect, meaning that Canaries were unable to get their short-pass-playbook into the ballgame, and resulted in some ineffective “hail-mary-esque” long ball work. G. Holt and S. Morison could not combat the physicality of the HotSpurtz de-fense, however Cottagers will pose a different threat, and Coach Lambert may seek to reintroduce the 1-2-1 midfield-line.

Cottagers are amongst the most popular of the EPL® Franchies, famed for attractive play-calling and rapid counter-offense following turnovers. Their home stadium, The Craven Cottage Sports MultiPlex™ has been extensively built upon since the early parts of the last decade, and now seats 22,500 in a non-standardized configuration, featuring a mock-cottage in one corner of the ground. [ed. I know it’s a proper cottage]

Coach Jol: "Andy Johnson and Bobby Zamora couldn't play so we had to do it a bit differently today. We played with two on the flanks and two offensive midfield players and we caused them a problem in the first half.”

In their most recent outing in the EPL®, Cottagers faced off against London Bluez, resulting in a respectable One versus One tiegame, in that matchup Cottagers’ score attempt was converted by Team USA International C. Dempsey, who will be looking to continue his fine run of form against Canaries. Last time these two Franchises went head-to-head was in the humiliating Six versus Nothing defeat which saw Canaries rejected from The EPL® in 2005.

This sure is going to be a great Soccer matchup, so fill up your Coca-Cola™ tankards, get your hot-dog's and grab a seat for this smash-and-grab matchup, brought to you exclusively on Not606!

Hey CS - I see you're steering clear of Cottagerz this week. Don't want to offend Spurf

Ha ha! Love it, especially the Deliadome and the Craven Cottage Multiplex (God forbid!)

Good Luck Canaries, I think most people have been impressed with how you've played for the first half of the season. It should be a good game this afternoon

I don't get this thread. Don't you understand rampant American imperialism is taking over the world, and you're just adding to it?? ;)

Great stuff as ever CS.

Hard side to predict, Fulham. However, I'm going to stick my neck out and agree with Gossy, a City win with (wait for it, wait for it..) a clean sheet!

I've a funny feeling about today, fulham have a poor away record, however they have dangerous players in Ruiz, dembele and Dempsey. I hope lambert mixes the starting line up a bit
To play to our strengths from earlier in the season and give a few players a well deserved rest
I would take a draw tbh

Cromer - A "Hail Mary" is a move in American football where pretty much everyone legs it down the field and the quarter back chucks it as far as he can to one of his players! It's a move of desperation, akin to the long ball stuff we saw vs spurs! So now you know! :-D

In other news: IT'S GAMEDAY IN THE EPL! LET'S GO CANARIES, LET'S GO!

PS: Feel rough as a binner this morning!

Whats all this about Cottagers? Careful when you use the toilets this afternoon. I'm glad I'm down here in the SW with the sheep!

Back to the system that has worked well in quite a few games. Not sure about Ayala, I guess De Laet is still injured as we only have one defender on the bench.
Fulham only scored two in a game once and haven't scored at all in six. Mustn't underestimate but this is a good game to put things back on course after Spurs.

Weird how the North London lot were outraged at being called spurz<hot spurtz> yet Fulham are happy to be named "the cottagers" .
The activity George Michael popularised in the 90`s....
