I heard an ad on the radio this morning, basically it was recruitment for the Infantry.

Now I personally believe that dying for your country is one of, if not the, ultimate sacrifice.

However the current wars this country is currently involved in would be the main reason I would not join if I could any time soon.

knowing what you know, would you join at this moment?

existing soldiers wouldnt have had a choice, orders are orders.
But knowing what you know, would you be a hero or a villain?

Existing soldiers can leave after giving notice....what keeps them there....easy money....oh and some people just like playing with guns

Dying for your country is stupid

I wouldn't walk down the same street as some of the ****s in my country

How many employers are currently running recruitment campaigns?

That's your prospects if you're entering the jobs market now - join the army or join the dole queue.

Making a detour because you won't walk down the same street as a **** is possibly even more stupid.

More ignorance masquerading as insight and/or opinion.

You have never done it so you don't know.

Until you have then best keep quiet.

There are worse things he can do with his life Jen. My son is currently determined to join the Marines (if they'll have him). I'm not exactly delighted about it, but on the other hand it's his life, and I do respect the fact that he wants to do something positive.

I'll be scared sh!tless if he goes to a war zone though.

he always used to say he wanted to do it. obsessed with war and history.

not much work for him and getting away will help him grow up a lot. he was in army cadets and he's a good people person so i think its a good job for him.

There are a few soldiers down the street

They have a reputation for shooting first and lying about it later
