Well it's a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to him - 35 days young today. And Roy's first signing .. please log in to view this image As we know his departure from Fulham wasn't the happiest, which was more than unfortunate given his contribution to our success over the halycon years. We also know he's been given a free by Palace - could he come back and do a job for us now? Okay he's lost most of what little pace he had and to be fair he didn't stand out in the captain stakes. But .. he is experienced, he is organised and he most certainly can still get his head to the ball. So, is Brede Hangeland worth a punt?
I for one would not want him back,he became slow and keg leaded in his last season with us, so i see no reason why in the twilight of his career we should be the club to add to his pension coffers.
He was a fantastic servant of the club, but his time has been and gone. It would be a mistake for us and for him if he were to come back.
