    Good Morning Everyone

Paul Heckingbottom's tenure as Leeds Utd's Manager got off to a bad start as his Leeds Utd team suffered yet another defeat, albeit with a battling second half performance that deserved at least a draw.

Their were two dubious penalty decisions in the game. Seems Blunts midfielder Fleck had been taking flying lessons from Alioski as the Scot went tumbling following the faintest of comings together with O'Kane whilst at the other end a hand ball went unnoticed.

Is it me or have Leeds never had the rub of the green when it comes to refereeing decisions?

Lasogga had an ice pack on his left ankle following the conclusion of the Yorkshire derby.

    Hope its not too serious...

According to Popey, Rad wanted to get rid of TC in January, but Orta talked him out of it...

AR to @PhilHayYEP : “Already at the beginning of January I was really keen to change. Victor (Orta, Leeds’ director of football) convinced me to hold on and give him one more, one more, one more; extra chances but at the end, something was missing.”

Simon Grayson has been named Manager of Bradford City.

He got us and the dog botherer's out of the division, so why not them?

Don’t think we deserved a draw tbh but we could have got one. No way was that a handball worth a penalty (probably would have been if a Leeds player had done it, of course)

What’s the first game Sais can be back for, anyone know?

As with every Leeds team for years, they are actually not that bad but just lack 2-3 players ...... I think this is where a rigid pay ceiling hurts us, we don’t have many players to build around, they are all just decent/competent players. Maybe Sais, Pontus, Vieira in the future, Pennington in the future, Hernandez on a good day but he’s getting over the hill, but most are just ok

Morning all not a great start to PH reign as boss was it. Half expected but dont think he expected to see that first half performance. The new boss will get plenty of time I hope to sort out his troops before the fans turn on him. New skipper needed which must be Forshaw or Ayling, new formation with the striker getting support or decent balls. Steel for Alioski, sort out the DM situation as it was dire yet again. Bet LDB and Forshaw wondered why they came

Morning all, I have to agree with 20/20 we were so bad in that first half I don’t think we deserved anything from the game and if Sheffield had better scoring boots on we could have been 3-0 down.

It felt like we were playing with 9 men, Roofe and Alioski in a very strange position that they couldn’t cope with. Roofe very disappointing asking to come off 10 minutes after the knock because he was worried about a loose tooth...

First time I’d seen De Bock play and I thought he was pretty poor, O’Kane was dreadful too. It will be interesting to see who PH selects after watching the game unfold and another week on the training pitch.

My guess is he will have to change formation or drop Alioski for Dallas and Roofe for Hernandez. Part of the reason for our DM looking poor was they were constantly having to cover the gaps created by Alioski being in no mans land.

When Hernandez came on, he was either told to sit deeper or he used his head knowing he would be ineffective in the position Roofe played. My bet is a good old fashioned 4-4-2 next time out with someone alongside Lasogga who I’m warming to but he can’t play the lone striker.

Actually Roofe could do well alongside PML

Problem is we will be weak in midfield

    Morning all

Don't think it's just Klich that is happy TC has gone. I think Pontus, Anita and PML are very happy TC got the sack and maybe some others too. And when you saw the pic from the dressingroom, you did not see a team that was together. I think all of thgis was down too TC not beeing a good coatch.

I think the first player he needs to drop is O'kane and Hernandez needs to start. When the banned is over Saiz needs to go strait into the team.

Another one of Orta's discoveries looks like turning into gold, as the kid brought in from York in November has been scoring goals. He got off the mark against Birmingham then scored 3 goals against Burnley on Saturday. Ryan Edmondson one to keep your eye on

I’m just looking at who we have and how do you get the best out of them. Lasogga is so slow, he needs space or a perfect ball to feet to get a chance off, he has no aerial presence so he needs someone alongside him, he really isn’t good enough for the lone striker role.

We have Tyler Roberts and Ekuban and Roofe if you like, I’m sure any alongside Lasogga would see a big improvement but then how do you fit the rest in around that?

When we played 4-2-3-1 the midfield never looked that strong anyway, I’d go 4-4-2 (which I’ve been against in the past) as I think we need more of a threat up front. Maybe get the 2 wide players to cut inside a bit or the fullbacks to overlap, on Saturday you’d never have believed we’d got three defensive midfield players and two wide attacking ones on the pitch as there was so much space.

What would be interesting... PH plays the 4-2-3-1 formation the same as Thomas, the same as preseason signings were set out for and see if results pick up, if not then it proves we haven’t the desired quality in the team or PH is no better than Thomas?

Why is it ex players keep coming back to haunt us. Sharps volley in the 1st minute was amazing. If that had been a Leeds player we would have been talking about it for weeks

Good morning to Matt and co from a very sunny Bardsey
I thought that Forshaw was the pick of our players but Billy was the MOM as I feared when I wrote about him prior to the game He always plays well against us
Roofe Phillips and O'Kane were dreadful 'Lassonga did well with very limited service I think he is playing for his place next season Ekuban should have been introduced earlier because he looked very fit to me
Did we deserve a draw on balance NO
Nice to see Newcastle shut Morinho up and well done Town

Good point and when you look at the analysis of our Dms earlier in the season you saw Phillips doing most of the damage from the edge or just inside the box where he scored some goals. All our Dms have done recently is chase shadows and foul and pick up cards. They are not at the races right now. Two wide players supporting Lassoga would work if they came inside to support him, lets remember that Lassoga also up there with the best in the league for assists. All came from earlier in the season when he got some support. was it Saiz who did the support role for soggy? Cibicki, Alioski, Roofe or Gomes, because Saiz not around but could Pablo pick up pieces behind soggy and support him? Like I said earlier options are limited

Can't understand some peoples constant false allegations against our players. Roofe has been accused of asking to come off because he was tired, denied by TC, who said he had told players at half time to keep him informed on their energy levels so he could judge substitutions. Now this nonsense about asking to come off because of a loose tooth. The doctor stayed on his side of the pitch to monitor Roofe and told PH he needed to be taken off as he could see he was suffering with concussion, even though Roofe wanted to stay on. But when have facts ever bothered some on here if it gets in the way of having a go at our players.

60 makes a point about sharp being MoM.
Why do all the players we let leave always do well against us?

Bamba looked like Bobby Moore in the Cardiff game and then there was Morrison for the wallies. Sharp scored 3 in 2 games against us this season.

What is it about us that make ex players want to up there game so much against us? Do we make them hate us so much they want to shove it down our throats?
