I’m optimistic for tomorrow’s game, I don’t know why, we have the same suspensions and injury concerns, I’ve a feeling the new guy needs impressing and hopefully the players will be playing to keep their places.

Morning all. Have been working my way through Homeland box set about espionage, CIA, Russians, Mossad, terrorists, black ops etc.... The threads on the Leeds board work for a series 7. Anyhow Heckythump has managed against all the teams in this league and knows them well. He gets the Yorkshire derby and the need to battle. With injuries and suspensions it will be tough but I expect a battling draw. MOT.
Morning all will the real Kim Philby please stand up. I hope Roberts is fit as I think it would be good to compare him to Ekuban who is due back in a few days. PH did actually say he was desperate to try and get Roberts for Barnsley so fancy him making his debut. The more I think about things concerning our lack of form, discipline etc, I go back to the game where Roofe asked to come off because he was tired. I now think a few players were engineering Tommy's sacking. The number of stupid things that happened and the way things happened....
Problem with player power is how do you stop it. There will always be a group of players unhappy about not getting in the team, playing out of position, or being instructed to play tactics they don’t agree with. If this group have forced one guy out it’s only a matter of time before they do it again. The ringleaders might need to be moved on to rescue the power balance.
Seriously optimistic about the rest of the season. For me the result doesn't really matter tomorrow as it's all about the future. Strangely though I think we will get something from the game. We will be putting out a decent side and our new coach will not accept any excuses for a lack of effort and desire. It's as he says, the players who play tomorrow have the first opportunity to impress him and I believe he will motivate them sufficiently to put in a good performance. Everyone starts with a clean slate...and that will make a massive difference to the performance levels of all the players. Suddenly they are all competing for a place in the team again and ultimately their future at the club.
We’ll always have this problem with a director of football. Player meets Orta, they are told that they are wanted and possibly promised first team action, they join the squad and the coach doesn’t rate them half as much as Orta. It’s a milder version of Cellino signing who he wants rather than the coach.
We are where we are. PH has to prove himself but let's at least give him a bit of time. I for one will reserve my judgement, so far everything said about us making top six his name calling of Leeds etc Is so much hot air. All he has to do IMO is give us some decent football and the results will follow.
Morning all. A positive result tomorrow would be good and I will not be surprised if we get one. I would be happy with a positive performance though even without the result. It is important the players react to a new manager/system/ formation well and play to their best. Its the last part of that sentence which I want to focus on. We have seen quite a few times that when this squad are firing we can match just about anyone. We need more of that more often. We showed around Xmas that at times we can play poorly and grind out wins. If we are not going to be at our best I can accept that. Where TC lost out a lot was the next level below that - playing poorly and just being ****. Cant accept that. If by heck can get us organised and up for championship football I'm with the owner in that we have a squad good enough. (As long as they are fit or not suspended.)
Agreed to a certain extent but pee weak management also causes it because the guy who wants to be friends with all his staff is the bloke who always gets shat on by them. The DoF can only work in tandem with the coach, this obviously didnt happen but statements from Radz says Orta, PH & Radz will be working closely together going forard. The big thing was also that the 3 of them would be looking at all the players to see who deserves to be here next season. That says to me there has been problems with a couple of players and Tommy
