Good Morning Everyone There was a very interesting segment yesterday on talksport. Only 25% of football fans attend live matches more than once a month. Also, 55% of younger fans questioned also claimed they had been priced out of attending games. Surely if this carries on, clubs will lose an entire generation of supporters? Whats the answer? Is Rad missing a trick by not offering paid streaming to UK fans of the Whites? Overseas fans are able to pay for streaming. I have to work most weekends, but even if I didn't it would cost me best part of £300 once I paid for travelling, hotel, food, parking and match ticket to watch 90mins at ER. I wouldn't mind about parting with a tenner each week to watch the game! If all Leeds games were streamed live, how many fans that would normally attend the Mecca that is Elland Road would watch the stream from home? When games are live on Sky, are gate receipts that effected? Footballers (when you think about what they do) get paid an extravagant amount of money, and if one club were to say we are not going to pay you any more, they, or their agent will move them on to another club that will. Clubs have to charge fans what they do due to the crazy prices they pay their employees. Is wage capping the answer?
Evening Ell, 60 and all, perhaps they could work on commision no win no pay, a bit like ........ well estate agents ?
Good morning Matt and Eric and co from a bright frosty Bardsey I would like to ask should we buy players over 30 admittedly Strachan and Bobby Collins were the exception to therule The attendance will be affected if the match is shown on Sky leeds are usually about 20% down hence bleating from Cellino I think that AR ill already have this up his sleeve I am all for wage capping and to some extent I think AR has brought this in.Unfortunately Villa DERBy Boro are spending for fun along with Wolves we are 12 on the pay scale I feel for TC but once the vultures smell blood he will be soon on his way and I hope they rejoice that a good man has lost his job 'they didn't give him a chance
Morning all. If our lots wages were based on results they would be dependent on the dole office for a living
We have had a fair few players that were extremely good that we took on loan (That were over 30) Bamba, O'Brien, Hernandez to name a few but sign them on a permanent basis they lose their form and even more pace
Forget Harry Potter this lad is the real deal but how long would he survive after Glory blasted him? His name is Graham Potter and he is a manger of Ostersunds in Sweden'He joined the club when they were in the 4 tier after back to back promotions he gelled his team so that this season they are in the Euro cup and last week they won 3-1 at Galatasary After the home team was booed of the pitch the home crowd for the very first time ever applauded the Swedish team off the pitch Can Graham do this in England I fear that at Leeds he would be like TC be up against it straight away .The snipers would have a field day.I sometimes wonder what they want I ask Glory this question but have never received an answer What manager do you want What players would you bring into the squad and to date I have never received an answer I wonder why?
If you ever got an answer to that question it would spoil his fun, but we know that. Evening from a warm and sultry Queensland
Mornin all, I don't think wage capping is practical, as it would have to be world wide to work. Players would just move to where the money is. The price of attending matches was on the BBC news yesterday, I think they have a price comparison for all league teams on their web site. I'm sure they said you could see Liverpool for £18 including a pie and drink for their cheapest games.
Morning all. G.P. certainly seems to have the profile of a good coach, whoever we get it will not happen overnight. TC was the exception it did happen overnight and has now disappeared .He must be given more time.
I read that piece on potter a few days ago. Great story. He takes no mark players into an isolated desolate place mile’s from civilisation and gets them to read poetry, act out plays and sing. Sounds like a perfect fit for millwall
His Achievements in Sweden are far greater than Roy Hodgson and he did well after that How could I forget George Rayner who was manager in 1958 when Sweden lost in the world cup final It still didn't get him any regocnition and he had to settle for the managers job at Skegness
I am encouraged that you have seen the light and now accept that TC is on his way. But the last thing we need is another foreign nonentity. Poetry and creative pottery classes will not get LUFC out of the championship.
