    Good Morning Everyone

Eunan O'Kane played played in the Yorkshire derby on Sunday with cracked ribs!

The Leeds midfielder was given pain killing injections to allow him to play.

    It was a Yorkshire derby!

We're talking blood, sweat, tears and a lot of abuse of the body.

Surely he should have been rested?

    Thoughts?

What does this tell us about what Christiensen thinks about the likes of Viera and Klitch; though be be fair Viera has had to pull out of the England under 20 squad due to injury.

Shaun Harvey: EFL has stopped 'significant number' buying clubs
please log in to view this image

The EFL's rules have stopped a "quite significant" number of people from buying clubs, says its chief executive Shaun Harvey.

Those wanting to buy a club must pass the owners and directors' test, which clubs agreed to tighten up in June.

It is designed to stop people damaging the "image and integrity" of the league and its competitions.

"What the test never gets credit for is how many people it stops from applying to buy a club," Harvey told the BBC.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 live, the 47-year-old added: "It is only easy to pass if you have not committed any of the acts that mean you would fail it."

"How many people don't come forward to buy a club that otherwise would have done because of the test? I think the number is quite significant.

"They are the ones we are looking to prevent from buying our clubs."

    What are the rules?

The test is designed to make sure owners, directors and officers of clubs meet a set of standards which protect football's reputation and image.

The rules apply to anyone wanting to own more than 30% of a club's shares. Any prospective owner cannot have been declared bankrupt or have a criminal conviction.

The Premier League brought in a similar test in 2013.

"The test comes under scrutiny, usually when clubs of fans are unhappy with what is going on," Harvey said.

"There is a fixed set of criteria and if you meet the criteria you are eligible to run that club - and if you don't, then you aren't."

Leeds are interested in signing Danny Ings from Liverpool when the transfer window opens in January.

The Whites apparently believe that the former Burnley marksman "holds the key" to helping Leeds win promotion back to the Premier League come May.

Fans of the Elland Road club would surely be delighted to see the former Burnley man - who scored 21 goals the last time he was in the Championship - arrive.

But one man who probably wouldn't be pulling cartwheels across West Yorkshire is Kemar Roofe.

It has taken the 24-year-old a year to earn chances in his favoured number nine role, after being used on the wing under Garry Monk last season to little effect following a £3 million move.

Roofe, who has five goals up front this season, is now Leeds' second-choice hitman behind Pierre-Michel Lasogga but the signing of Ings would push him further down the pecking order and few would blame him if he considered quitting this winter.

    Morning Matt. <ok>

Seems a bit of a silly statement because I don't see how the FL would know for sure how many potential owners have been put off because of the test, unless you still have to resister some initial tentative interest to be an owner. Otherwise it's a bit like blocking unavailable numbers from your smartphone, you'd never know for sure but as long as you're not receiving any calls, then you know it must be working.

If Ken Bates passed Mr Harveys " image and integrity" test it would be difficult to find anyone who would fail the test.

Good Morning Matt and co from a slightly dull Bardsey
As far as I am aware Ings is injured once again and by the looks of things will be out for a long stretch I fear for the lad as he has had many serious injuries

Morning all, firstly O'Kane was a bad decision and why allow him to go with Ireland if hes injured? Something not right, maybe the club didnt know he had a cracked rib, either way its crap. Viera injured too so Klich & Phillips was the right choice surely.

Never read anything that cnut Harvey has to say because as far as Im concerned anyone who takes 2 clubs into administration and one of them twice ffs, should never get the top job at the obviously corrupt EFL

Glad about the Ings story because if Ekuban, Grot, Cibicki, Roofe want it to not happen they will have to step up and do what they are paid to do.

TBF to O'Kane up until recently he was playing a blinder, it doesn't our fickle lot to get on players backs. It's no wonder IMO that some of them play with fear.:(

Ings? Would love to know the source of this 'story'. Agent?

One place that will not be the source is ER.

Another load of bollox. Not once has anyone got our 2017/18 signings right.

if Leeds don't win their next match 11-0 then:

Tommy will be sacked and Michael Brown will return as assistant to Grayson

Wiedwald, Alioski, Anita, Saiz, Lasogga, Klich, Pennington, Cibicki will all be transfer listed and sent to the U23s

£60m will be made available to sign Green, Bridcutt, Erwin, Matt Smith, McCormack, Snodgrass, Howson, Johnson, Grimes and Pedraza

Antonsson, Murphy, Wilks and Denton will be recalled from their loans

and so it goes ... Leeds fans all rejoice as their "favourites" trot onto the ER pitch, but the team fails to win another match and relegation follows ... nobody gives a fcuk because "it was great to see Green in goal again" and "how nice to finally see Howson in a Leeds shirt again, ER is where he belongs"

in an attempt to get out of Lge One the club signs the entire squad to seven year contracts, a statue of Grayson is placed next to the dugout (and does a better job) and Browneh is made Director of Hoofball

three seasons later ER is sold as Leeds enter into a ground sharing agreement with Harrogate Railway as they prepare for a promotion push from the conference ... by now Grayson is CEO, Sombrero Steve is back as manager with Hockaday as his assistant ... Leeds now play in an all black home kit and all red away thanks to a shirt sponsorship deal signed with Sparky's Furniture from Manchester

please lay off the ridiculous criticism of our club, the season is but a pup and we have the quality, all that's needed is focus for ninety minutes in every game and all the supporters to stand behind the manager and his players EVERY GAME ... United we succeed, divided we suck eggs
