Good Morning Everyone, Is it D-Day today for Garry Monk? If Leeds lose tonight and Preston don't concede, Leeds will find themselves at the bottom of the table. Monk is certainly showing the pressure. That was reiterated by his comments to Adam Pope after their 1-0 loss. Here are today's questions? Should Green be replaced tonight, if so, by who? Should O'Kane start? What about Wood? Did we get rid of Bellusci too soon (he scored last night) In yesterday's presser Monk said that Grimes was 'behind other midfielders in the pecking order'. If that is the case, do we want him at ER at all? Monk described Dallas as an 'important player'. Why could he not even make the bench last week? Is it really due to him playing in the Eur's 2 / 3 months ago?
Good morning. For all I don't want us to get beat, if it keeps the impetus on Cellino to sell its a price worth paying. Monk is looking over the cliff. Not sure if he is crap or can't work under Cellino. The madness of offering a refund on season tickets is now clear. Another black hole in the accounts, which a new owner may have to factor in. It didn't even bring any additional revenue in compared to last year. We just gave away loads of dirt cheap kids tickets which are now being abused. 0-0 tonight As for who plays, it makes no difference. We have no quality in any position or formation.
Morning all... Monk has shown he is too stubborn and somewhat clueless so I expect Green to start. The signing of Grimes has baffled me from the start, Hernandez will be another if he doesn't get a run soon. Unless we change formation from 4-4-2 it's hard to see where they can all slot in. Tonight I expect same as against Huddersfield apart from O'Kane coming in for Phillips. Not long to go before we can say our season is over and start discussing next season
I was trying to remain optimistic for at least another week. Has our season ever been over during September before?
I think we had more points on the board the season we were relegated from the champ at this point (going by memory). Still don't think we will be relegated for the record.
Because Cellino sacked huge numbers of stewards a year ago and has turned the south stand into an apartheid system that needs lots of stewards many kids season tickets are now been used unchecked. Abuse of concessionary season tickets is rife.... I know of quite a few people getting I on kids tickets. Even Into to the family stand!
Grimes has gone backwards since his first game for us and he needs to step up and show our kids why he's an U21 regular. If he cant we have to look at sending him back. Like a few I'm baffled about selection. Not bothered about Dallas unless he can show he's a consistent tricky winger. Roofe needs putting up front with Antonnson as I believe Roofe will score goals. Wood needs a session on the bench or sending back to the kids. Hernandez should be the most influential player in the league, yet he doesnt get a start. Mowatt needs either binning or playing in his own position. Seems to be so much wrong about selection. Back 4 picks itself; Ayling, Bartley, Jannson, Taylor (Coyle bench) Problems start in the midfield area as we have 300 players to select from. Bridcitt, Hernandez to start with 2 or 3 creative players to supply Roofe or Roofe/Antonnson We need goals
When Monk was playing in the Swansea promotion side, not long ago. They had a flying winger who scored goals and created everything. We need a Dyer/Snoddgrass type winger not a Dallas unless he starts to perform. Can Sacko be that player?
If he goes with a similar lineup there really is no defending Monk. It's absolutely baffling continuing to play the same players and systems when we are getting the results we are and playing badly to go with it. At this point a bad performance but good result might be enough to get some confidence back into the players even if it is against Blackburn
Morning doc, yes the back 4 picks itself, but do they only pick themselves as we have nobody else? Berardi returns to training this week.
I think the back four looks stronger than last season. My question is will Berardi come back in to the starting lineup when he is fit? He was arguably our best player last season, certainly in the early stages of it
