Good Morning Everyone, Leeds have denied that Cellino wants to break the Football League's television deal with Sky and negotiate his own deal! Executive director Paul Bell, who represented Leeds at a Football League meeting in Milton Keynes on Thursday, said: “I would like to make it clear that Leeds United is not seeking, or taken legal action, to dismantle the collective selling of TV rights as has been suggested. “This model has proven extremely successful for some of the biggest leagues around the world, none more so than the Premier League. “The club has, however, made it clear to both Sky and the League that it opposes the degree of control exercised by Sky over the league fixture list, and seeks transparency as to how these rights have been sold. “Today's article seeks to position Leeds United as a lone, isolated voice. However, this is far from the truth and there is a growing number of clubs who now understand and share our desire for transparency. “It is our duty to protect the long-term interests of the club and our passionate supporters. Therefore, we will continue to pursue these issues with the Football League.” Meanwhile, the Football League have taken an injunction out against Leeds Utd to ensure tonights game against Boro goes ahead. Expect plenty to go on tonight, but not on the pitch. Kilmarnock are in the process of appointing Lee Clark as their Manager. Didn't Lee Clark turn us town???
Morning Elland and all... Not much to say this morning apart from a deja vue feeling when it comes to this time of year and Leeds.. Same old thing, season over, wishing for a take over, fans divided, more to discuss off field than on...
With respects Ristac, The letter only shows one persons view/opinion, that may be shared by others. While it's a letter, he has produced no factual truth, however, I've read some of Simon's reports in past, while agreeing with some things he wrote about, I also disagreed with some others, but, he is one of the very few I hold respect for.
I was not referring to his view or opinion There is more than enough in there to form an opinion of how factual it is. I used to run a collectables site, it was in regards to news and rumours, I know first hand how people love to leak stories, you soon get to know the regulars who are usually 99% correct. The thing is, more and more things come out that reflect badly against Cellino. Ones like this you are quick to point out "no factual truth" ones like Cellino being filmed where he admits the pie tax revenge and you avoid commenting on.
Hey'up Ristac, Never avoided commenting on the pie tax cos I didn't think it was worth mentioning, but I did include a reference to it in another post. With respects Ristac, and no malice towards you, but those who hate Cellino are going to look for anything that concurs with their opinion or hatred of him, those who think he's done a good job, so far or in parts will argue against, makes for good debatel.
I was like Simon, I was all for Cellino coming in at the time he did, I was willing to see if it worked, him making the signings and a coach coaching. It didn't take me too long to admit I was wrong and see him for what he is.. That is where I totally disagree with you, it isn't about me hating the guy, it is about me seeing him for what he is yourself failing or ignoring to. Go back through my history, I have made lots of positive comments about him when he has done right including praise at the start of this season, you however have never said a bad word against him, just quick to spring to his defence.
Exactly the same as me Looking forward to what the protest will consist of tonight as much as the game and it shouldnt be that way.
Morning LL. Doubt he can quote meetings with Umbers, Pearson and Cellino's lawyer if not factually correct without risking libel action.
I made no positive comments. This corrupt scumbag has just carried on at Leeds in exactly the same way he behaved at Caligari. Happily it will be over soon one way or another. He has alienated more than just me from the club and the attendances prove it. If he is here next season look forward to 25% less season tickets, 10%= hikes in prices, pie tax expanded to all areas, and for talent sold off and the money disappearing. We still have all the debt we had before and if he keeps going we have 18 months tops before he takes us into admin.
I am going to the ground but not buying a ticket and it really shouldn't be like that.. Will be involved in leafleting and will watch the game from the Peacock/Salters
Hey'up LoL, I agree, like I've previously mentioned, I've read some of Simons articles/reports, didn't agree with everything but I respect him too. I believe it was Simon who uncovered all the scandal in regards to Bates alleged corruption and who owns what with Bates being possibly linked to many of'em. I believe it was Jock who brought it to our attention first. Chippy, if Cellino takes us into admin with the debt we have, Man U should've been in admin a few years ago......
But the Glazers and Woodward knew how to prevent it.... Cellino struggles to insert suspicious white powder up his hooter using both hands! If he is your idea of salvation then it's time to lie down.
