Good Morning Everyone, Silvestri has had a stay of execution, No, he hasn't been kidnapped by Isis Instead, the 24 yo shot stopper has been told that if he performs like he has been for the last few games, Evans will not need to look elsewhere for a loan keeper! Leeds have been heavily linked to West Brom's Anders Lindegaard, but when asked recently if he was any closer to bringing in a new ‘keeper and if the links to Lindegaard were true, Evans replied: “The first thing we should recognise is the form of our current goalkeeper. “I think he’s been absolutely stunning for the last two games so I would not demean him by talking about a goalkeeper coming in. “If he performs like that there will be no goalkeeper coming in.” Evans also hinted that Sam Byram could be staying too! Leeds head physio Harvey Sharman to leave and join the Washington Nationals next month. Who remembers when the Kop used to look like this? please log in to view this image Should clubs bring back a standing area? (There's enough space for Eire's armchair)
Morning all. Well done to everyone enclosed at Wembley last night. A fitting tribute. As for the turkey game though, what a thoroughly disgusting race of people. Their lack of respect for the minutes silence was horrendous. Why is that nation still allowed compete with civilized ones at any sport beats me. As for Byram, if he does stay, his contribution needs to be drastically better than it has been. The odd good half hour here and there
sGood Morning Matt and everyone from a slightly sunny Bardsey Well we still seem no nearer getting our 2 loanees over the line what can be holding them up! I feel with Grabbidon the reason he doesn't want to come is the lure of Bournemouth if you remember Howe brought the best out of him and with Wilson being injured I think he will go back there just an idea must have read it in the Sunday sport Silvestri has done really well in the last 2 games but he needs to be more consistent, again I feel he plays better with Cooper who gives him lots of encouragement Enough said about Turkey I wouldn't go to any Arabic country for my holidays its far to dangerous .Like my old uncle said to me the only arab you can trust his a dead one! Finally possibly the finest rugby player ever in my mind I remember Leeds Rl wanted him and so did every other club in the world R.I.P. JONAH LOMU
Remember it well Elland. A different sort of atmosphere back in those days. I remember standing in the kop in the mid 80s a game against Chelsea. I don't remember the game, yes I was that pissed that I sat outside the ground and missed the 2nd half. I then missed my coach home, ended up getting the train home. I had left Dublin at 23.00 hrs and didn't get into Dublin till 08.30 Sun morn. Vowed I'd never do that again. But I did.
I was stood on the Kop when Sunderland played Leeds and there was a record crowd of over 58.000.there was no roof then it was just an exposed terrace
When I first started going in the Kop it was 45p ,I`d progressed from the boys enclosure on Lowfields Road at 15p There was a collective magic about it,being crushed against lovely young ladies(getting a stalk on!),different atmosphere, all seating is crap, smell of booze,***s and burgers all gone sigh, last time I stood in the Kop Gary Speed scored the 4th goal against the blunts,i was blootered and lost me voice(I had hair and my own teeth then) Mot
Morning Mike, think we'll see the new players come in on deadline day. Perhaps Silvestri needs competition to make him play well?
Morming My spot was directly under the extreme right hand side of the electronic scoreboard. At thats where we started off. usually finished off just by the exit gangway.... Lets go fecking mental.... Then moved to south stand where at one time we were able to to sit (HA) for 50p a game!
