Good Morning Everyone, Swansea City fans will pay no more than £22 for an away ticket in the 2015-2016 Premier League season. The Swans have pledged that tickets purchased through its membership scheme will be subsidised. With adult tickets at some grounds costing in excess of £50, the club said the subsidy would amount to a £300,000 saving for fans during the season. "We are well aware of how expensive it is to follow the team to away games,'' Swans director Huw Cooze said. "An adult can now watch every one of our away games in the Premier League for a total price of £418. "That's more than £250 cheaper per adult than the amount we believe it would be otherwise." A recent BBC Sport study discovered Swansea fans travelled further than any other during the 2014-2015 Premier League season, clocking up 4,129 miles at an average of 217 miles per trip. What a fantastic idea. It shows the club cares about the fans. I wonder how many miles Leeds fans racked up last season away from home? The official kit launch is later today. I wonder if it will be the same that were leaked a week ago? Contrary to reports, Leeds have NOT accepted a £500,000 offer from the Blades for Billy Sharp. Are Leeds still trying to negotiate for Murphy?
The only Leeds fan that got a subsidy for travel was Bates and his private jet contract so the Sharp blunts move is not finalised then?
Good morning to Matt and co from a sunny Bardsey So we have reached a stumbling block over our swap deal Sharp for Murphy over the Blades valuation of Murphy nobody is worth £1.5m in the third division at present I think this stems from the lad Spurs have bought from MKD Deli Alli for £6m and McCormack sale to Fulham Lets face it we swam the channel getting that fee
Morning all ... think the Sharp stumbling block will include a payment to the player as he has not requested a transfer, and is on a pay grade way above what the Blunts can offer him ... Swansea don't take a lot of away support, so the club is investing on helping to increase the number of Swansea shirts in the away end ... Leeds don't need to subsidise away tickets because we always fill our end and two thirds of the home seats as well ... really hope we get three more quality signings over the line, but have a feeling it may now be "sell first, then buy" to balance the wage budget Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Morning all. Has an orderly queue formed for Morissons signature yet? I see Hunt was a bit pissed off yesterday on twitter with some Leeds fans apparently still giving him grief
According to Sky Sports the 2 clubs have agreed on 500k for Billy I wish him well now to offload another 6 yes 6
Afternoon all, is Murphy the only deal we are left chasing? Was hoping the other 2-3 that we were supposed to be getting would be a step closer. Very hot here in Cyprus and now I have Internet access 24/7
Enjoy your holiday. I must admit I need one and havent book anything this year. Just going to do a few days out with the kids but could really do with a free bar swimming pool and some sun!
It hasn't been changed since 1988-Leeds United Groundsman delights at new irrigation system Leeds United have ripped out their old pitch drainage system this summer to replace it with a new system that groundsman Kiel Barratt is sure will make the situation better when the playing surface suffers heavy rainfall please log in to view this image The Whites had been operating with a drainage system which had not changed since 1988, meaning Barratt is relieved to have been able to invest in a replacement system. The groundsman explained to LUTV: "We've updated the irrigation system - that's been in since 1988. "We were having problems with that with pipes bursting, so we've got a new ring main and new irrigation heads. "We've updated it to get modern so we can use it more efficiently", the groundsman added. Leeds, whose pitch will have to cope with two Rugby World Cup games in two days this season, will be hoping the new system helps to ensure the playing surface is in top condition for Uwe Rosler's men. Last term the Whites finished 15th in the Championship table and they are aiming to push for a top ten spot this season as they build up towards a promotion tilt. A consistent, quality playing surface will surely only help the German and his men.
At least the RWC money has been put to good use ... Bates would have allocated it elsewhere Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Was looking forward to Murphy having a good season and playing to his potential, but he's had an operation so that's him out again Gary mac has joined Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool as first team coach, so that's him and o'Driscol joined the scousers this week in a new backroom team
Evening Elland. A slow day on the transfer front if this what's being reported about the club. They'll be getting the tea lady out next telling us about her new urn
