With this squad having had a year to grow together, 10th would have been 4 places lower than I would have been targeting. But let's give the guy a chance. With Pearson & a possible assistant head coach around, maybe Cellino will be put back in his place and the coaching team won't have a load of average cheap Italian imports foistered on them
Afternoon Boggers, Hows tricks? Apparently, we are going to be looking at English players predominantly
I'd take tenth and some progression on and off the field. With any luck Pearson will be able to exert some control over Cellino and we'll see his endless histrionics end. As for recruitment, I have nothing against foreign imports but he needs to realise that introducing 13 to an entirely new style of play in one transfer window bordered on madness, and we need a proper scouting system - instead of Jota, Ighalo or one of the other stand out foreign signings of the season, we waste nearly £2m on Doukara
Doukara had something to offer, but we have plenty ahead of him. So he'll have to work hard pre-season to get much game time next season
Ticking along mate. Hope so. Will be interesting to see who comes in. Hope we keep hold of all the kids
We shall see, a bit like when Cellino admitted he pleaded with Redfearn to give Cani a try which was a silly thing to admit when he was under a ban... I agree, but I won't be surprised if he gets the chop sooner rather than later or walks out the minute Cellino spits his dummy out.
So pearson runs the club, Rosler runs the team, NR goes back to the youth, Cellino spends some cash on quality players and takes a step back? Sounds too simple, get yerself another beer este.
Pearson really sounds like he has his head screwed on. Hopefully when he says key appointments will be made within the next 10 days it actually happens. Lets face it, the more Cellino delegates to others the more likely its gonna work out for us.
It wasn't that long ago we had Matt Child, Salerno and Thompson at the club, each seemed to bring something positive with them. Let's hope any new appointments last a bit longer.
Think that's the problem and the comments from some on here about Cellino learning a lesson is laughable. He's been doing the same stuff for 20-years and didn't change things once in Italy and it got worse when he came here. At least in Italy he only had 1.4 coach's per season average. He's on 3.7 per season here which means Rosler won't even make the first game Cellino cannot keep his hands out of team affairs and cannot keep his gob shut
He's just so much more professional. Shame that Ristac's right; he'll walk/get himself fired eventually because Cellino will either get jealous of the attention/credit he gets (not for the first time) or Pearson will realise he's working with an unstable lunatic.
Hello all ... been silent for a while because Cellino really fcuks me off with his amateurish behaviour ... get the feeling Pearson is here because Cellino has more bans coming ... a precedent has been set with his first guilty verdict in Italy, and with two more cases carrying the same charges, his defence of "it was a mistake not fraud" simply won't work ... the sooner the FL ban the clown for life the better ... FORZA LEEDS!!! On Rosler, truth is that - as many have pointed out already - while Cellino is here he has no chance of building anything, because the first sign of anything other than a diamond formation with (name the next foregn loanee with a bright future) at the tip, and Rosler will be replaced by that sofa salesman from Florida who once spoke to Cellino about soccer for five hours in a bar Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
