    Good Morning Everyone,

Just like in 1973, Leeds went down by one goal to nil courtesy of a Patrick van Aanholt first half goal

By most accounts, Leeds deserved at least a draw having been denied a stone wall penalty and having rattled the post in the second half.

There were encouraging performances from Del Fabro, Taylor, Montenegro, Sloth and especially Austin.

Will Redfearn persist in playing exactly the same starting eleven that he has more or less persisted with since taking the reigns at the beginning of November, or will the blinkers come off?

Were Austin and Murphy only played so they can be seen in the shop window?

Are Leeds still content on letting Austin go, after he showed what he can do on the pitch?

We could be shooting ourselves in the foot with Austin. The two teams that want him (Brighton and Millwall) are the two teams directly behind us in the league table, so theoretically he could be nailing the Leeds Utd coffin.

Has Montenegro done enough to have a run in the team?

Has anyone missed Bianci not playing?

Is Beradi as bad as what people say?

Is Charlie Taylor ready to be pushing for Warnocks space?

Morning all. As we all predicted a Sunderland win but by varying amounts, one nil is best we could have hoped for with new faces getting a run out. As for selling Austin, no way. Wait till end of season. Won't be getting anything worthwhile for him especially if were Wally trading. Great way to start new year. Out of everything and embroiled in a relegation battle. Our lack of goals is a huge problem. Difficult to pick up points when you rarely score or even threaten to

Morning all - I watched extended highlights, we had a nice purple patch in the second half, I have no idea how many of the Sunderland team were first team 11 or not? Austin is a tricky one, Brighton and Millwall want him, no disrespect to either but the calibre of team showing interest surely reflects on his ability? On the other hand sell to a relegation rival??

My personal thought is that both Murphy and Austin were being placed in the shop window, if we don't need the money for them don't sell yet as we are under an embargo and can we really bring in better quality without paying a fee? See where we are at the end of the season, if we survive sell them, if we get relegated both would be decent in L1 football.

    Morning all,

I don't think Berardi's as bad as some people make out - useful player to have in the squad as he can play RB or LB

    Just my opinion like

    Morning all

Really expected the scoreline to be a lot higher so was happy the result even though I would have liked a victory.

On Austin and Murphy if we don't want them let's get rid and try and get some money. No point in letting people run down their contracts

    Morning fans

I was encouraged by the effort throughout the game from the team. I would hope that this performance carries through into the league games. It is going to be a hard slog over the next few months and off the field implications could make it even harder.

good morning to Matt Dave WJ etc from a sunny Cote De Bardsey
Well whay pleased me was the fact that we didnt cave in but showed some mettle
Austin should he stay or go I really dont know but if this new boy is better then yes
We should see contrary to what the detractors say some new faces this week especially a striker and a midfield general
Apparently Sloth Fabio Taylor and Montenegro had good games so that was pleasing I think that Murphy will be sold

Afternoon all, glad we put in a bit of a show. 1-0 i can stomach as was expecting a white wash. Think Austin should be sold but not to the two teams offering. He blows hot and cold and always has done. We need good consistent players.

    Evening all :emoticon-0148-yes:

I see we have a new format and such. Haven't managed to get on over a busy Christmas, so thanks to Matt for keeping the match threads flowing in my absence. I just went back and had a look at one of mine and this new format completely breaks the layout. (Looks like we can't use tables any more?!) So I'll have to come up with something before the weekend...

Hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year

(oh, and the transparent background on my avatar has been turned red. That's messed up!)

The red thing is easy fixed. Go into settings by clicking your avatar and select grey... All will be well.

Hi LiD, hope you had a good festive season yourself. I'm not in any way technical, but as a temporary workaround, couldn't you set up the table on a spreadsheet/word doc or whatever, then take a photo of it to attach here? Until you work out how to do it properly, of course!
