    Good Morning Everyone,

It was revealed last night that Noel Hunt is on his way....

Nigel Clough has made an enquiry about our 31yo striker, and it looks like he'll spend the rest of the season at Bramall Lane.

    Thoughts?

Cellino has decided not to rush appointing a new Manager at Elland Road and has placed Neil Redfearn in temporary charge.

    Thoughts?

Is Redfearn a realistic long term prospect to take Leeds forward in the short, medium and long term?

Do we feel that he is better placed developing the youngsters?

Did Carbone make more of an impact during his short stay, then what Redders has done during his tenure?

Looking at the squad we now have, what formation would be best suited to us, and why?

Should we make the play offs?

If not, how many players short are we?

Good morning Matt and co from dull Cote de Bardsey
Hunt to blunts sounds good to me but doesn't say to much about Clough if he thinks Hunt can play perhaps he can take White as well like loan one get one free
Redders I have already said my say about this but he is just being used by Cellino in order to get a coach at a more realistic rate .Lets face it all these applicants have been out of work for some time they have had time to refect lick there woundsand realise that they are not in a position to get large salaries they have to prove their worth but I firmly believe we will have a new coach in the near future at mates rates
I still think we need a new striker and I think that this was in his mind when he left a place for one loanee I hope its Chris Wood of Leics he would fit in perfectly and is young 21 and can score goals in this league Pearson would off load as he has just got Powell on loan and would much prefer to loan him to a team a league below with a proviso he can be bought for £1.5 at the end of the loan
So bring him on I say
So to summaries Hunt and White to blades on a BOGOF
Redders thank you for being a decoy
    Welcome Chris Woods

Morning elland ... can't see anyone wanting Hunt, he is finished ... Redders must remain Academy boss, will not make it as Head Coach ... play offs are possible in this league, one good ten match run and you're at the sharp end, and with the squad we have we really should be challenging, but the key to all this now is the new boss, Cellino must get this right, and the fact that he's taking his time suggests he has a few people in mind, but now just needs to negotiate what he is prepared to pay

Morning Mike, never mind the BOGOF, I'll pay for the taxi!!!

Chris Wood would be a great signing, and would also wind up the Millwall fans, as he is an ex player!

Morning Billy, Hunt only turned dire when he went to Elland Rd, maybe the Blades can get something out of him. He might just click into gear in league 1

Hey Mike, trust all is good bud, think Wood is a great call to get in ... elland, Hunt turned dire when he got married, and used his relationship with McD to get one last fat contract ... I can just see him convincing McD that he was raring to go, back to his best and ready to die for the cause, except of course he simply looked well past it like the rest of the dross around him, and this season he has looked even worse ... think his genuine desire to succeed is long gone now, and he will struggle to play at the pace he used to play at, and the game will just pass him by

Morning all. Pity we couldn't have got rid of Hunt properly as were likely having to subsidise some of his stupidly high wages. Still better than paying them all I suppose. No harm to See Cellino taking his team over next coach appointment, just hope Redders can keep the show on the road in the meantime. If we were to get another coach in a month, surely it becomes very confusing for players to have to keep adapting to different systems and tactics?

Haha Pelts was on fire yesterday ripping into Leeds United wasn't he.

I can't understand why pundits/media are worried so much for us but never peeped a word when GFH or Bates ran the show.

Strange when Cellino is genuinely not as bad as them 2

Morning all. Good news that Hunt is finally departing. Might have been interesting to see how he got on in a side playing proper footy. But we move on, and in his case, we don't look back.

On Redders, I think he's a stop gap. But given how the academy have progressed and that a number of them have now made it to the 1st team, let's see how he gets on. Probably better in the long run to get omeone more experienced and let him concentrate on the academy/reserves.

Morning to all my friends and enemies..........Hunt should have walked away months a go, hope he really is going.
I think it's good to keep Redfern in charge until Cellino finds someone new. I don't know if Redfern really wants the hassle that would come with it full time. I would hope he stays with the youth players because I think he's done a good job there. I'd hate to see him sacked if things went tits up if he was offered it fulltime.

I don't have a clue regarding formations although I do like the boring 442 with wingers. Can't make a decision if we'll make the playoffs until 45 games in......:emoticon-0105-wink:

    Morning all <ok>

Can't believe we're deprived from watching football for a couple of weeks for the sake of England performances like that one last night. Amusingly we were much better when Captain Neanderthal was subbed for Welbeck. Wonder if Van Gaal is thinking he sold the wrong player to Arsenal now <laugh>

As for formation, I've been reasonably vocal in my match threads against the diamond. But I've been having a think, and that may be changing...

...if I get really bored working today / get some free time maybe I'll start a "In Defence of the Diamond" thread and explain my thoughts

    Morning all,

Ok, it may all just be media bollox speculation but this Redfearn for permant boss cr@p has to stop now, before Cellino bows to 'public' demand and appoints him! Granted I'm not talking about the majority of people on this forum, but there does seem to be a rather lot of support for him on twitter.

Every time he comes in he normally gets a result, fair enough. This isnt enough to get the job full time! People seem to forget that he follows this good result with several average ones and before long we get another hammering. I dont blame Redfearn at all, it was never his team. But that wont change this time; its still not his team.

We need Redfearn to sit in the background and act as a first team consultant whilst continuing on with the youth setup, and let the first team be run be a more experienced/talented coach. I mentioned it before with a bit of apprehension but I'm starting to come round to the idea that we should maybe try and get Hasselbaink back. From what I've read he's had a couple of preety good seasons managing Antwerp (I think they won the league?). I mean he probably wasnt my first choice but we are losing options and I dont think Redfearn is capable. Just my thoughts on this all.

As for formation, I hate to agree really but our best formation (with the players we have bought) is probably a wide diamond. This is the only way we are going to be able to deploy the anchor man in midfield and continue to play Antenucci and Sharp together up top. We can always revert to a more 4-3-3 as a plan B with Doukara and Montengro out wide with just one central striker if the diamond proves unsuccessful
