Good Morning everyone, Leeds have signed 'The Sloth' for £600,000!!! The Danish international was in the last year of his contract, hence the low(ish) price that was paid. The attacking midfielder has signed a three year deal. I wonder who will make way for him? Thoughts? There is less then a week until the transfer window ends!!! How many more arrivals should we expect? Who do we think will leave? Sheffield United want to sign Jason Pearce. If they offered 1m for him, should we accept it? If so, who would you want to see as Captain, and why? Leeds have decided against appealing against Sam Byrams red card for the alleged head butt which he denies, and will serve a three match ban. Bellusci however, will only serve a one match ban for seeing straight red as he was only sent off for being the last man, when he committed the foul. The board seems to be devided whether we should try play our most experienced pro's tomorrow night against Bradford or give the lives of Mowatt, Cook, Dawson, Killock and Walters a chance to see what they can do? Thoughts?
Morning Elland and all. Hope you lazy sods had a good bank holiday. Not sure by rams three match suspension. Is such a bad think. A break might do him no harm and give some of the new lads a chance to shine or otherwise. Hopefully sloth will be a good piece of business, seems to have the right credentials. Problem I now have Elland is I'm struggling to remember some of the squad. Who the hell is this Nigel Pearce that Sheffield are interested in. Didn't know we had such a lad, but definitively sell him specially if we can get money for him, whoever he is
Whats happening Elland. I think Sloth should probably be taking tonge's spot in the team. I find it amazing that he still has a place, in all honesty though Murphy really hasn't warranted his place in the team for a while as well, but then I've never heard of a team playing with 4 CMs before otherwise they probably both would've already been out of the team. I think we will still sign another 3 players especially if Cellino is to be believed, think we really could do with Adryan being the next in the door as we are started to become desperate for that creativity behind the strikers. I actually don't think many if any will leave unfortunately, god knows we need to shift about 5 or 6 at the very least of this squad as they are not up to the task. I don't think Sheff U will offer 1m personally. For that sort of money I'd be inclined to consider it but I don't think we should be selling unless it is way over his current worth. He is, for me anyway still first team and even if he weren't we should have capable cover for the first team anyway. I also actually find it hilarious that we are not appealing Byram's ban especially after the huge reaction made by the club (although saying that the fans probably made a bigger reaction of it).
Evening Josh The Byram decision baffles me too. Byram is not a violent lad, and by not appealing it almost sounds like the club are not backing him up.
Let Pearce go because he's not captain material and not good enough to be guaranteed a start, so we need a new captain. I do think he's probably 3rd choice centre half over Wootton. We need to spend more time on the training pitch with the new players, getting them bonded and working together. So use the kids against Bradford and lets see how Cook, Taylor etc develop because we need to be bringing them on and we aint winning the cup. The cup is a distraction and another couple of days with the newbies getting them ready for Bolton will be best for me.
But if appeal was unsuccessful, ban could have been longer, a risk they probably couldn't afford when there wasn't sufficient video evidence to have it overturned
Morning all ... another good young talent signed, take your pick out of any of our two thousand midfielders as to who he will replace ... Hock has said "he" is having a clearout this week to "help those lads who won't be playing regularly", so expect to see Sharp, Smith, Pearce, Byram, Mowatt, Cook all sold ... Cellino is in buy mode, and said he needs loads of players, so pick a number ... Pearce simply must not be sold, it will make a mockery of Hock's claims about lacking experience in the squad, and we need Pearce at the very least as cover ... make Junior captain ... not backing Byram is typical of the stubborn stupidity that is Hock, this after the player denied it and the officials admitted they weren't sure, another player hung out to dry by this idiot coach ... play the best eleven against Bradford and lose heavily so Hock can go, but this is why he will play a weakened team and have an ace excuse to stop the knockers in their tracks ... oh man, I am so disillusioned right now, can't believe we are persisting with Hock until well after the transfer window shuts so that he can prove himself once better players "than what we've got" have signed, so Hock will be here into October and we'll have a huge gap to make up

Morning all. So we've signed yet another midfielders. Maybe that's the plan - play a new formation - 1-8-1. I hope he makes a difference and shows why we need him rather than all the others we've got. I'd also quite like to see a few of our players going the other way. Hunt, Tonge and Morison to name but 1!! On Pearce, if the Blunts offerred us £1m for him, I think we should take it. We have 4 decent CBs. So losing 1 and promoting the best of the kids as 4th choice would be a good idea. As to who would take over, not sure. Austin doesn't want the job and hardly anyone else is a guaranteed selection. Difficult decision.
So we sign another player, I don't know anything about him, just like the majority of the other signings. I'll pass judgement after 4 or 5 games. Regarding Pearse, after a poor start to his career at the club, he certainly played well at the end of last season. If he is sold, I hope his replacement is better. It's a nice idea to play the younger players, but this game will be tough and Bradford will be up for it. If we were to get hammered it could knock the young lads confidence. I'd much rather play our strongest(who may get beaten as well) and have the bench packed with the kids. Why did it have to be shown live, more pain is coming.(sorry for the negativity). Morning all.
Poleon White Hunt Morison Tonge Norris Austin Good riddance one and all, and hope you all find new clubs, but probably in a lower league I hope these are all gone this week and maybe a couple more too because Warnock is clinging on and Murphy has had plenty of time to show us what he can do but only a couple of decent performances just isn't good enough. Dawson and Mowatt could be loaned out as we ll as another couple of kids like Killock. So we could see a dozen faces go and that means that Cellino needs to give us at least 2 more decent signings and then Hock has no more excuses I bet Bradford and Bolton can't wait for kick off
Morning all, With Berardi back I reckon we were looking to rest Byram for a few games anyway, so appealing against his sending off would've been pointless. And maybe by not appealing this decision, the next appeal will be looked upon more favourably. Bellusci would make a good captain, or Antenucci. Whether either of them are good enough players though is another matter entirely

Morning Shaks, well obviously he doesn't actually need a rest, but in the strange mind of Hockaday he was probably going to drop Byram in favour of Berardi so wasn't fussed about appealing. Personally when his ban is up I'd stick him wide right to give us width with Berardi at RB. Hockaday will probably be gone by then anyway
Billy, I think reading between the lines, you may not be the hock's biggest fan I'm sure you'd like to blame him for the gaza crisis, the disappearance of the Malaysian airliner etc. They're not appealing because they don't have the evidence to win, so what's the point. Who knows who takes the decision to appeal or not regardless.
Am I the only one that couldn't give a toss about the Bradford result. At best well only go another round anyway and with the team likely to be juggled about, its not going to tell us anything much about where our form is. Even if we get pl opposition in next round, like Southampton last year, they'll likely field eleven reserves so what will that prove. Just sorry the damn thing is on tv as I won't be able to resist watching so likely another night of being in a foul mood
