Good Morning Everyone, The season kicks off for us tomorrow, and I cannot wait..... What a place to open our campaign, at the lions den!!! One player who won't be making the trip is Frederik Sorensen. There seems to be an 11th (and 3/4) hour glitch which has put a spanner in the works. Out of all the signings so far this season, Sorensen's would have meant the most. The 6-4 Danish international was supposed to join on a seasons long loan, and if successful join permanently for the sum of 4m. So, what went wrong? According to Phil Hey, this could be another Vivadi!!! It has been widely tipped that Billy Sharp could be joining us today. The 28 yo striker has impressed during pre season, but with the Saints front man wanting to play regular first team football, a free transfer will be granted. Let us remember, he has turned us down on three separate occassions. This time, he says he wants to join Leeds Utd, but has he burnt his bridges? Maybe, he'll want his house valued !!! We were told two days ago to expect two more signings. One being a striker, one being a defender. Who else should we expect?

Morning Mike, Not too sure we want Sharp to be honest. He turned us down three times, and its only now he's a few years older (and slower) he wants to join. He opted to go on loan to Forest, Reading and even Donny over us. In the words of Shaks.... 'Fook him'

Was up till the early hours going through tweets and news reports last night... Swan will be the new defender, Sorenson is back on, we just need to up the loan amount and Sharp is liked by Hockaday who wants him but Cellino has said no, he doesn't like what he has seen Morning BTW @EmaGiulianelli: No problems for Sorensen. Leeds will pay just a little more for loan. Can I sleep now??? #lufc - Assume he is the agent? My bet for the new striker is Nile Ranger - If Cellino is confident of signing two more players before tomorrow it has to be two out of contract players

Morning all. giulanelli is not his agent but has been 100% accurate re Leeds transfers. Seems to have direct contact with Salerno. Hay gets some of his info from him. Hopefully it gets over the line today

Cellino is a very wise man, he knows Salerno is his ticket to riches, he spots them cheap and sells them on big, surely even Cellino with his short fuse wouldn't risk upsetting Salerno? He is obviously one of the very few guys he trusts.
Morning all. Sorry to hear of your sad state of affairs Shaks, & you a proud Irishman as well. What is the world coming to? Anyway to slightly more important matters, the weekend. Really hope we can land Sorenson. Would appear to be just the type of player we need. On Sharp, not fussed either way. We're playing better footy now. So even Morison could turn out to be a decent signing (ducks whilst brown stuff hits wirly wheel). We'll see what happens. Should be a good game, and for once, I've no idea what's going to happen.

Yet 48 hours ago in an interview Cellino said he expects two more before Saturday? The Football league show touched on Hockaday being a good coach but if he is left to get on with it and is not continually undermined, it seems Hockaday is being kept in the dark by Cellino in regards to who is coming in. I wonder if Hockaday saying he didn't expect any further signings was his way of highlighting that fact without rocking the boat too much? Let's be honest, this is Hockaday's big chance, if he fails with us where has he got to go? He was plucked from the wilderness and he won't want to upset Cellino, not yet anyway. Get off to a decent start and get noticed by a few other clubs and maybe he will grow some balls and stand up to Cellino more. Maybe as Swan is with us on trial and has been turning out for the U21's he doesn't see that as a new signing if indeed it does happen?
Morning all I hope Sorenson deal gets over the line as we still need to add quality at CB and that would be a good signing. As for getting Sharp, I'm not really that bothered to be honest. We've got Smith, Morison, Doukara, Hunt and then Poleon and Walters on the fringes. Surely if we sign another striker, one or two of those are on their way.
