    Morning Everyone,

    Has McDermott gone AWOL???

The plain and simple answer is that he'll be on holiday after a long difficult (to understand) season.

Lets face it, if you can't go on holiday just after the season ends, when can you?

Cellino, however has other ideas :-

“I think at this moment the club is not managed by anybody,” Cellino said.

“Who’s managing this club? Brian. Where’s Brian? “I send a letter to Brian - help us. He’s on holiday to get some rest.

“He was tired I can understand. But why this kind of reaction?”

When asked what he said in his letter, Cellino added: “Just let me know what he’s planning for pre-season.

“What he’s thinking for the future. What’s his plan? What are his ideas? “Where are the people that we pay wages to every month gone? “Who gave them the permission? Who organised that? He’s the manager.”

It does not bode well for their future relationship, that's for sure!!!

Following Peterborough's failure to advance in the League 1 play offs, they have released Tommy Rowe. I wonder whether he will still be a target of ours? We have not had a sniff of a decent winger since Snodds and Gradel left. We did not know how lucky we were!!!

It looks likely that Malaga are preparing a 6m bid for Ross. Ross ha srecently stated that as long as we show the right kind of ambition, we wants to finish his career at Leeds.

Now that Cellino has got his feet tucked under the table, what are people's early views on him?

A bit off topic but this is incredible.

A cat attacks, and chases off a dog who attacks a child, then goes back to make sure the child is ok.

Morning all. Didn't see the ITV interview last night But this has all the makings of a messy situation. I really can't see the players being too happy if they have to be back at work training in May!!! However good or bad they played last year, even the young players need a proper break before then putting themselves through the rigours of training and playing for up to 10 months. If they don't get a proper break, they'll be okay for a few months. But when the business end of the season comes round, they'll either be injured, tired, or worse.

I think Cellino has a lot to learn if he's to lead Leeds back to the PL in a couple of years.

Good morrow from a blissfully sunny Bardsey
I think as well as trying to find loopholes in certain employees contracts such as Hunt BM Norris they will also be gainfully employed over the so called loan of David Haigh where did he get the money from? What was the money used for security cameras for what?
Tommy Rowe Burke have all been linked to us in the past but that was with the last manager who is about to exit hopefullyto WBA who are not exactly brilliant at appointing managers either so another bad decision is on the cards
Does seem odd that BM should not have the brains to let the owner know he was going away as the whole team including him have been on extended leave since Christmas!

    Morning Boggers,

Players will not be happy at all. I'm sure MS, has advisers that will hopefully put him straight.

#lufc With Carbone's role clarified its worth noting that Cellino told me after Derby game that BC is not ready to be the 1st team coach.

Morning all. I thought Rowe had a decent enough game in the first leg of the play offs, can't make a call on him yet, would have to hear from the Posh fans opinion. Couldn't give a **** how the poor pampered overpaid prima donnas feel. Like Elland says they've been on holiday for months. It's not like they don't have enough spare time on their hands after training.

Morning all - Have no idea how it works in football but in real life you have to book and clear your holidays in advance with your bosses.

Seems strange that Cellino did not know McD was coming up for his holidays, can't use the excuse that he booked it in advance as there are always the play off's.

What would you all do given the season we have just had? I would like to believe I would have had a couple of in depth discussions with the new owner by now to sort out the way forward and advise them of the need to take a break. If McD hasn't done that and he has just took off I feel trouble ahead.

    Morning all,

I really don't get this 'players will be tired' thing. What's tiring about training for a couple of hours five days a week and playing one or two games a week at most? Then they get a month off to lavish themselves in luxurious locations spending their £10k a week 'hard earned' dosh.

It's a hard old life, they must be exhausted.

While i don't feel sorry for highly paid players in the slightest, especially ours who have done fk all, I still think its wise to give them a decent break. All clubs try to have a substantial break between seasons and with good reason. Its not neccessarily about tiredness, although that is a factor, but more about picking up injuries and about the mental side. It is possible to overtrain in any sport.

I'd rather they had an extra week or 2 off or whatever, and come back in the right frame of mind to get their ass's in gear this season.

As for the coming season, i think we do have some players that will improve.
I think Smith will continue to improve.
I think Pearce will continue to improve.
I think Murphy started to show glimpses he can play towards the end and will have a better 2nd season.
I think Byram, injuries permitting will have a much bigger impact.
I even think Stewart will be better (although he couldn't be much worse)
Its not great, but its not all doom and gloom.

    Morning all <ok>

RCDM no its not all doom and gloom, but not far off is it? We have a new owner who hints that the due diligence his lawyers carried out was either not done properly or he's found fraud by Haigh. We have Haigh still owed nearly £1m, but where did he get that from in the first place. We still have GFH twats owning up to 25%, We have an owner thats already organised a pre-season trip to Italy whilst the manager who had already planned pre-season has gone awol. We have £1m a month lost, we have 15 players out of contract and a bunch of useless coonts with a couple of years to run, we have a captain who will probably be sold, we still have a winding up order pending, an owner who promised to buy back ER, which is now apparently delayed until November, Benny running the academy and no sign of us buying TA back, no way of knowing the relationship between TA existing coaches and Benny.

Not much of a mess is it?

Just posted my thoughts on Rowe on yesterday's thread, my bad <doh>

Would be pretty much a like for like replacement for Pugh though, only younger, better and on lower wages. I'd definitely take him on <ok>

    Morning All,

I personally think Cellino has a cheek.

He's the one that's been out of the country & cancelling the planned meetings with BM. So now that he's got round to thinking about it, BM's to change his plans to suit Cellino? He's got a bit to learn about the Brits.

He's also the one that's on record as saying he doesn't need a manager - he's the manager. Now he's on record as saying he does need a manager! Wants to make his mind up.

I know I'm not the best at maths, but 5 weeks from May 3rd is not May 28th! Does Cellino or his cronies ever read contracts?
