    Morning Everyone,

Last game of the season tomorrow....

McDermot has said that if tomorrow is his last game in charge, he will leave with his head held high!!!

McDermott said: “Things started to go wrong but did I handle that situation? Yes, without a doubt in my opinion.

“It would have been very easy to walk away on the first of February but I was never going to do that and I’m glad and proud that I didn’t. I didn’t even think about it.

“We had a poor run for three months and you accept that. I don’t want to talk about what’s gone on off the pitch because it sounds like excuses, and people think it’s excuses. But since the club’s been stable, we’ve won three out of the last four games.

“People have opinions on everything but I’ve tried to be absolutely honest in everything I’ve done. I’ve tried to tell the truth as I see it and I’ve not ducked anything.”

If tomorrow were to be McDermott's last game in charge, should he leave with his head held high? I feel sorry for him, maybe we should give him a bit more time.

McDermott has said he is ‘committed’ to signing Hull City winger Cameron Stewart on a permanent deal in the summer.

Idiot, sack the ****a <laugh> Thats enough time now....

Morning all. One ray of hope in that Elland saying he's committed to signing Stewart. Sounds like he has a choice so hopefully we don't end up with him. As for mcds babblings, listened to five minutes of his interview yesterday and I'm sick of him. I just knew he'd roll out the rubbish of winning four out of five if we beat derby. We've only beaten dross in recent weeks. Hopefully after tomorrow his tiresome interviews at Leeds will be at an end. Feck me, what a season eh

“We had a poor run for three months" **** off a poor run of form is 3 matches not 3 months ffs.

Yes there must have been a lot more going on behind the scenes, than we were aware of, I accept that, but what i cannot accept is that without Ross's goals we would be relegated by now and thats just nowhere near good enough.

Nice man yes and always thought so, but nice doesn't get the job done. The football even when we were in the top 6 was shockingly boring, predictable and Warnockesq. We lumped it forward and played a diamond formation because we didn't have any decent wingers. He brought in 2 wingers and we've been even worse since. So was it stuff behind the scenes or a problem he caused by bringing in his 2 wingers who were worse than our existing wingers.

Morning all. I think Stewart is a work in progress. Can we do better? Yes of course we can. Will we do better? In time, maybe. I'm assuming Kebbie won't be coming back. So there's opportunities for someone. As both he and Stewart are naturally right footed, maybe it'll be Stewart as a replacement for Kebbie and A N Other is a relplacement on the left for Stewart. Time will tell.

On BMD, I would now like him to be given a chance during this TW & for the first two to three months of next season to show what he can do without now having to worry about off-field stuff. T/O's done. Cellino's in charge. We have proper money for the first time in ages. Let's just see what BMD can do. Remember, he did lead Reading to promotion. And we have now won few games, albeing against poor opposition. Time for some stability

    Morning Elland Morning All

Against probably 3 out of the only 6 teams that are worse than us this season, two are in the relegation zone right now. When we were in our fake 6th spot we had played all the bottom teams, once we started playing those around us we fell to pieces.

No he is the worst manager in our history as far as I am concerned he has had far too much time already and he should go just for committing us to Stewart and what with Kebe, just sent him back with a game to go??

For a club short on money McD sure knows how to waste it

Morning Doc, couldn't agree more. Even on a losing streak you'd expect a few wins and draws along the way. Outside the bottom 3, only Doncaster have lost more games.

Ellitt Kebe was one of our brightest young talents. He left for Barca, went to Athletico Madrid, and now plays for Hull. He's only 19.

    Morning all <ok>

It is a joke that Kebe has been sent back. I was thinking there was something in his loan contract blocking us from doing that, and that is the only reason I could come up with as to why Brian hadn't sent him back before now. Now we find out that he has just been kept "injured" all of this time when we could have sent him back? Cheers Brian, another highlight in a fantastic season.

I know what you meant mate. If Kebe had been a racehouse, he would have been shot, chopped up and on the isles of my-lidl-pony.

Morning all ... firstly on Kebe, 93 day loan which always meant he wouldn't be eligible for Derby game, so he's been sent back because McD isn't signing him on a permanent ... Stewart came on the same loan deal and he was sent back to Hull for a couple of weeks to make him available for end of season play offs if we got there ... its this mindless bashing of McD I just don't get, fcuk the facts its better to just kick the man when he's down ... shame on you ... man, I've lost the will to add any more to this debate because once again its just become a pathetic bashing of a very good manager, and any proper football discussion just evaporates ... borderline trolling

Your Lidl pony? What are you saying here?

Heyho, maybe we've all got it wrong and Kebe, Kebbie, or Kebbeh (the new love interest on Corrie) has been injured and that when he returns injury free he'll light up the championship next season..... & then again, maybe not.

I respect your opinion on BMD Billy, but I don't agree with it, as I can't class him as a "very good manager" from his time at Leeds. But to say that people who disagree with your opinion on him is "borderline trolling" isn't fair.

Based on BMD's performance at our club, he hasn't been good enough. There are some external reasons that could have influenced this, yes, but tactically we have been poor and while Smith has worked out and Murphy shows good promise, his other signings have been wide of the mark too. It isn't pathetically bashing a manager to call him on poor results and signings. If as many of us expect, he is sacked at the end of the season, he may well go on to do well at another club - as with many things in football there are ebbs and flows.

My major concerns with Brian staying on as a manager are:

    1) That even before the depths of our off the field problems we were playing Warnock-esque hoofball and for a long time sticking with a diamond formation that wasn't working. (I'll give credit to him for switching to 3-5-2 which did see us go on a decent run, but that was evaporated with two poor wide signings)

    2) I wouldn't trust him to spend the money rebuilding our squad, and I'm not sure he would be happy allowing Cellino to dictate signings as I think would happen. We can't afford to add another transfer window worth of deadwood to our already bulging and creaking squad, the next signings through the door have to be real quality.

    Only borderline?

I didn't see many people saying Kebe or Stewart were bad signings when we made them, in fact quite the opposite. We were crying out for wingers at the time. Both have been disappointing with Kebe being diabolical. However, when you've made an agreement to loan someone for 93 days its not very easy just sending them back.

    However, I'll say this...
Should Kebe have been dropped from the team earlier? Without doubt he should.
Should Hunt have been starting ahead of Smith? Not in a million years.
Wooton has been disappointing, so has Zaliukas and as for Lee's, what on earths happened??

Its been a horrible horrible season, i think partly because we were all thinking it was going to better than the last couple, but worst manager in our history? Really? You don't have to trawl too far back to find worse...

Like Billy & RCDM, I'm getting a bit fed up with this incessant BM-bashing.

One thing you've all got to take note of is that there is no harsher critic of a manager than Cellino, and he has a track record to prove this!

Now why has Cellino recanted & given BM a chance? We can all guess, but I don't think it will be far from the truth to assume that BM had a story to tell & Cellino listened, understood, & realised that unique circumstances were forced upon BM. And I think it's fair to assume that this is a story that cannot go public.

Any other reason why such a bastard to managers would keep BM? Why should he change the habit of a lifetime? Think about it. For once.

None of us know what really went on in the background. One thing I can almost certainly tell you is that at every team talk, BM did NOT say "OK lads, when you get the ball, just hoof it & hope. Oh, and don't bother to close down, pass or tackle. We're going to do things different". Give over, why should BM be blamed for a bag of dross doing everything they were told not to do?

Good Post Jock. The sooner this season finishes and we can start afresh with no off-field issues, the better. A lot of the players who no longer feature in BMD's plans will leave. We will get some genuine talent in, although Cellino is unlikely to go beserk in the transfer market. No doubt he'll review the situation after a couple of months to see whether or not we're moving in the right direction.

All in all, I see the future as being bright. In BMD I trust. MOT
