    Morning Everyone,

Its the day of reckoning. Will Cellino be found guilty or not guilty of deliberately avoiding payment of around 400,000 Euros in import duty on a luxury yacht purchased in 2010

Prosecutors want the Sardinian court to impose a seven-figure fine on the businessman and seize the boat. Cellino, whose permanent home is in Miami, will plead not guilty to the charges, with his legal team likely to argue that he was entitled to keep his yacht in Italian waters for up to 18 months under “EU customs legislation”.

The boat, according to Cellino’s lawyer Cocco, is owned by a US company, of which the Italian – who owns Serie A side Cagliari – is an employee.

The governing body have promised to make a decision by the end of this week. You never know, we may know today!

If, and when found innocent, would we expect Cellino to get rid of McDermott?

Here's a scenario! Leeds play Charlton April 1st. If it was too tight to call, are there any Leeds fans that would want Charlton to win, especially if it meant leapfrogging Millwall?

Morning Elland. Whatever the result of the court case, I just wish it woulod hurry up so everyone can move forward.

Can't see why I'd want Charlton to win. The more points we can get, the better. If the result wa that Charlton went down instead of the 'Wall, so be it.

Morning Boggers, suppose the scenario would be Leeds has nothing to play for, and if Charlton won, it would hammer a nail in Millwalls coffin.

We should know sometime today, good or bad what will happen to Cellino. Just like you, wish it was all over!

But he's got an excuse. The Court case!

Guys, another scenario. If Leeds were safe at the end of a season, and it meant, if they lost their last game, Manure would go down who would THEN want us to lose?

It wasn't the court case he lost per se - he tried to settle out of court beforehand with no criminal record issued, but the prosecution said no!!

    Morning all

Reading this article http://www.theguardian.com/football...ver-massimo-cellino-accused-tax-evasion-yacht I think they will go for an overlooked admin error and issue a not guilty on the tax evasion but issue a fine for a delay in submitting paper work.

At the end of the day, all the tax men want to do is recover as much money as possible, if they can do that in a quick and easy way that will suit everyone with the 'correct' wording I think they will do.

**EDIT** Posted this then there was the out of court settlement refused comment posted, that is worrying

Massimo Cellino's takeover of Leeds United may be in doubt after an Italian court found him guilty of failing to pay import duty on his yacht.
The 57-year-old was fined 600,000 euros (£502,000) and the court ordered the boat to be confiscated.
Cellino heads Eleonora Sports, who agreed to buy Leeds from Gulf Finance House Capital on 1 February.
However, the proposed takeover is still under consideration by the Football League.

Harvey must be laughing the ****** off

Just a thought? Is this a criminal matter or a civil matter?

He has had his boat confiscated and fined 600000e .He has not had a custodial sentence and so can claim it was a misunderstanding pay his fine and walk away no big deal

The key could be that they found him guilty of failing to pay import duty, surely a big difference from being found guilty of tax evasion?

Morning all. Terrible result. Thats Cellino gone and we've two options left. A Admin or B a local consortium who will have to stump up 15m to repay loans on top of buying club and buying Elland Road, training ground and find millions for a brand new team. Plan A it is so. What a ****ing shambles of a club. Back to work for me and to hell with the mess they've created over ten years <grr><grr><grr><grr><grr>

My advice would be one of the injury lawyers - a quick search of google to find out the best - a lot will not charge you anything (they will lump all their costs onto Bradford council or whoever was responsible for the paving stone).
