Morning Everyone Recent reports from the media linking us with Butland (Stoke) and Gomes (Spurs) suggests two things. Firstly, Kenny's days are numbered, and secondly the takeover may be nearing completion! On one hand we are struggling to pay wages, and may be days away from administration, on the other we are linked to Premier class goalkeepers who would probably cost us 20k a week upwards in wages a week. That means only one thing!!! President Cellino 1st..... Thoughts? Lets be honest, even if the football league wanted to try and block it, how could they? Does he have the funds to proceed? Yes! Are his past convictions spent? Yes! Thats as far as the process goes!!! Well, apparently not!!! The football league have put a fresh set of questions to Cellino, to drag the takeover into yet another week due to the fact that he may not have sold Cagliari by the time he takes over Leeds.... Football League rules state that “the executive shall have the power to require the person who proposes to acquire or has acquired control to appear before it and to provide evidence of the source and sufficiency of any funds which that person proposes to invest in or otherwise make available to the Championship club.” It also requires clubs to supply “future financial information” regarding any planned buy-out. Cellino met with McDermott recently, and it looks like he is going to give him a fair crack at the whip. McDermotts job is safe..... For the time being. Unfortunately Cagliari were not so fortunate, as the assistant Manager was given the boot last night!!!
Morning Elland I think the FL are trying to show everyone just how much work they're putting in to ensure Cellino is the real deal. Going through the motions and suspect he's in maybe by next week. GFH Capital should never have been sanctioned by the FL as they are worse than bates as they have no money. Alarm bells should have been ringing when a bank with no money or depositors wants to buy a football club. We are obviously chasing a new keeper but Gomez? he was supposed to be going to caliagri before this deal took shape, so can't understand it
Morning Elland and all. Seems fl are moving the goalposts to suit them. They previously approved bates without him declaring who actual owners were and then gfh, who were skint and had no money to pay any wages, forced to borrow from first month from Bates. So what has changed at the Fl? A certain ****er called Harvey, working his socks off now. I have no doubt now, he is instrumental in slowing the process down and would relish, along with his pal bates, in seeing us go under. Yet another reason now I want to see Cellino succeed and stick two fingers up at that lot, and he will, given the chance

Morning Elland. Fed up with all the will he or won't he takeover talk. I'm still waiting for the FL or whoever's the feck in charge to stick the knife in and find something to scupper the deal. Only when it's announced on the OS will I believe it. I didn't want the Eytie at the club, but he is the only one with the funds to save the club, so I'll give him a chance. Don't know much about those two keepers, but I'd prefer the younger English keeper than a third choice keeper from the yids. I though the eytie had sold his old club?.

There's no one else IMO and I don't want that other scummer anywhere near the club. Hopefully this can be sorted out soon. I'm just worried that if the takeover failed, we'd owe the Italian the money he's paid the wages with....

Morning all. If these are the kind of players Cellino is going to be signing and I know it is a big IF then I will take them over McD signings any day of the week. I know a big thing has been made of the fact Cellino likes to bring in players and virtually say to the manager here you go but I wouldn't be complaining (at the moment) if he put Butland or Gomes into the squad.
Good morning from a cloudy BardseyI listened to Popey and Hay last night and its a done deal as far as I can see if not then we will be in administration.Cellino has offered more than a fair price considering the owners are skint I would have offered half that amount and got it.He has also promised to buy back ER and TA so we become a proper club again. Cellino wears his heart on his sleeve so hes bound to make rash decisions hes Italian after all but at least we will see some sunshine after the last 10 years of utter despair!
If the deal isn't ratified by the FL then expect the club to implode. Not only will GFH owe cellino £1.5m from last month but probably the same this month.Haigh and Flowers are also owed a few mill and GFH have no cash or credibility and the FL should be made to explain themselves because administration looms again. What have the FL to decide? here is a recognised European football club owner who is a billionaire and doesn't have debts, a bloke who will stabalise an ailing football club once and for all, as well as buy the club back its own ground. Apparently - The FL are inquiring about Cellino's current charge that is yet to go to trial - they have also asked him to provide proof of funds and his business plan ans they have asked GFH to provide a latest set of accounts as they are extremely alarmed about the supposed 48% hike in your wage bill. They have also enquired about late payments to other clubs (Crewe and Man Utd) regarding recent staged payment purchases and have been reported for late payments to creditors (probably Flowers and Bates) and are late in paying at least 1 agents commission. Innocent until proven guilty ? Can't believe that would be a problem. Isn't all this down to GFH ? Why would that stop Cellino taking over if he can provide proof of funds/business plan ?
