It's not only the Golden Rule, it's rife throughout society. I was in my car today waiting to turn right from a side street onto Maryhill Road and there was an old lady with a walking stick trying to cross the road. I should have left my car and gone to help her but it was pishing down, hailstones as well, and a gap came in the traffic allowing me out so I put the foot down and got out of there. She had a coat on anyway.
