Those cars look so smooth and simple with massive wishbones. It's also easy to spot the drivers by helmet design!!!!
Anyway hopefully we will have a good race, a bit of rain would be fun.
I wonder how Ferrari will do? CLC has a new IC engine so no 'old spec PU' to hide the speed loss.
Did Ferrari ever publicise what happened to Vettels suspension at last race?

Remembering last year I really would like Renault to make a big advance next year and see Ocon and Verstappen come up against each other on a regular basis. That is my 2020 F1 wish <devil>

Just watching lando and max discussing a lap on sky. I love Lando's attitude and his personality, Max almost seems normal!
Great to see, I hope Lando stays in F1 for a long time.

I was out walking and forgot before I left. I will go for Lewis who as I write this is lying 4th in Q2. I Would go for Charles but he has a 10 place grid penalty.

One well timed safety car could remedy that. :)

I didn't forget, and voted for Max, so he's screwed for the win tomorrow.

Max could win this by a street tomorrow. His car looked seriously hooked up.

With the Merc and Ferrari engines turned down I don’t see how they beat him. Hope I’m wrong and we have a close fight.

Sorry Jasper I haven’t worded that very well- what I mean is that if Verstappen has their measure on one lap pace with their engine modes turned up to eleven, then the chances of them being faster than in the race are slim (as the engine performances tend to converge in the race)

Tyres will be the only concern I suspect.

True. Might Lewis drive for Ferrari before his career ends? Watching Channel 4, they said Ferrari would love to secure Lewis and Lewis may not be wedded to Merc if Toto moves on, which again is a possibility. No one knows the answer to that as yet, likely, not even Lewis knows the answer.

I think IF Lewis gets his 7th Title next year , he will go to Ferrari .

2021 new slate for all .What better place to beat MS record than at the team he had most success with ?

If he doesn't , I think he will stay .

    Just my Opinion though .

There are some rumors that Merc will not continue after 2020!!!! They suggest that may be why McLaren are using Merc PU in 2021 as they will be the works team!!! There are little things that are starting to add up. Lewis saying he want's to know what Tottos plans are, McL using Merc and building new Wind tunnel. Merc board saying they want to reduce costs overall but want to maintain presence in F1.

McLaren have very much played down the significance of a Merc PU deal but they reckon that Andreas Seidl is the driving force behind the move- and this guy is no mug. Bear in mind they’ve turned down a “synergetic” relationship with Renault which actually would have benefited both teams IMO given 2021 standardising of parts etc so I can only assume that Seidl and McLaren have a decent idea that their Merc relationship will be a very important one throughout the next decade.

To me that could mean a couple of things:

    1) A possible future works relationship again where Mercedes Benz move more toward Formula E.

    2) A “customer” relationship but one where Mercedes Benz are in F1 on a scaled down cost and where they are happy for Mercedes Benz customers to be successful and advertise their PU as being benchmark.

There will come a time where the F1 dominance is no longer necessarily the “great press” that it has been in the last 6 years, as is the case with all dominant eras of F1.

When that time is who knows. However the tectonic plates of F1 feel like they are beginning to shift again and remember- Eddie Jordan knew of this McLaren Mercedes relationship months and months ago- there is clearly some long term planning at play.

Got to love Hamilton, that boy just wants to race. Doesn’t need to win, just wants to race.
