Having now perused the "new" football league regulations relating to financial "fair play"Im disappointed but not surprised..Just like the FA this lot are a clueless bunch of clowns.. What gives these time servers and vested interests the right to decide how each and every one of 72 individual businesses are run? Oh there was a "vote"...just like last seasons wonderful idea (on the eve of the start of this season when a lot of clubs were very well advanced in their recruiting) to only have 5 subs ....this club was ambushed with that brainless idea...that surely cost us money..ie. pantsil and others never getting a look in on good wages and no keeper on the bench.... does anybody think that was right? Now the politburo at the football league want to dictate the finances of every club...how can that be right in a open market ? our owners, very successful businessmen and women are now not free to run this business how they see fit...but have to bow to less successful businesses and owners and in a lot of cases post fillers and old boys networks...it rediculous and WILL NOT WORK...one thing you can guarantee is if the football league or FA come up with an idea it will be wrong...this ruling will lead to ten times more dodgy dealings as clubs look for ways around them..it will increase cheating not reduce it! There are already sanctions in place for clubs who get into financial trouble..look at portsmouth etc..Of course less financially successful and badly run clubs are going to vote for leveling down rather than leveling up, its logical...but is NOT right...When ever a committee decides on money issues your in big trouble...and these regulations WILL lead to big trouble...I note the three anti's were all well run clubs with smart businesses people in charge, but what do they know?

The FA and the Football league are useless in this country. While yes i can understand they have introduced the FFP rules to protect football clubs but at the end of the day they are more then football clubs. They are businesses aswell, they should just said dont spend beyond your means and if you do and get into trouble you only have yourselves to blame

Proud ,as I have said on another forum, these rules were made with the best intentions...but the road to hell is paved with the best intentions..totally half baked and like the old farts in the rugby union, with their wage cap..will lead to a drop in standards and a failure to compete ...as the heineken cup as abley demonstrated.. less resourses will lead to players voting with their feet..its a big world out there..

Just as the gap between the Prem and the Championship seems to be shrinking, they do this. The quality of player in the championship will surely drop considerably and promoted teams will suffer considerably in the prem.

I´m guessing that Messi & Ronaldo will have to stay with their clubs for life now because no one can afford them or are all the prices for players going to drop ? Messi will now cost 2 million instead of 200 & so on......

Surely fair play should stop teams going up that can't afford to be there, that would just make it much easier <ok>

If king power sponsors each corner flag 10 mill.........could we do that ?.........would we get away with it ?

I just don´t get it. If you buy a house with your cash & you improve it with your cash, what the problem ?

Yes they can do that. They could sponsor basically anything. The team bus, corner flags, goal posts, seats, tunnel, changing rooms, training ground, TV's, 1884 sports bar, fanstore

And their is nothing legally the football league can do to stop it
