And all of a sudden the negativity evaporates. Unbeaten in the last 5, several clean sheets and finally a win away - everything rosy. But now we'll really see the state of Slade's recovery against a Wolves side that are scoring for fun and on the verge of the playoffs, much tougher opposition than a demoralised Wigan side. Mark Hudson's last contribution in a City shirt was to give Wolves the 3 points and they arrive in Cardiff looking for their first double over the Bluebirds since 07/08. Lots of points last night and after a period of BFB dominance since the start of the year, GLAM's CS moves him back onto the top but only by a solitary points. The leaders have swapped positions umpteen times already in a closely fought race but it is the first time that surprise package Sayer, last season's Playoff Champion, has moved into the Top Four up to his highest ever position of third. Exile, clearly inspired by Masky's CS on the weekend to exit the relegation places pulls a similar trick and dumps Remote in the final trapdoor spot. Finally Whiffletree, clearly fed up of been told about his disappearing lead, blasts out a 10th (!) CS and first since mid December to increase his lead to 7 points.
Sheepy, am I missing something here? How can Whiffle have 10 correct scores but only 1 correct result? If he has the scores correct then surely the result is correct too? If you look at the tables, no one else has more correct scores than results. Or if he says the the score is, say, 2 - 1, he gets correct score regardless of who actually wins the game? Only asking, not criticising.
It doesn't work like that although you are correct. Every time you get the score right you don't get a point for having the result (W,L or D). Every time except against Watford (A) that Whiffle has predicted the result correctly he has also got the score right. Quite remarkable, as naturally it's easier to get the result right compared to the score.
CCFC 1 - 0 WWFC S. Morrison (63 minutes, from a Whitts Free Kick....41% possesion, Tan to wear a blue shirt) Thank you Sheep, sir.
Despite the Wigan game, or maybe perhaps because of it, I'm not convinced we can beat a decent team at the moment. However, it has just got to click in all areas of the pitch at the same time for one game and I'm hoping this could be it. Adding in the Tan attendance factor today, love him or loathe him, the guy controls the club off the pitch, but needs others to do the biz on it - doing it today would be a great boost for everyone. On that positive note (not like me at all ) I'll go for a City win by the same score as the Whitts hat trick game please Sheepy. City 3 - 1 Wolves with Whitts getting on the scoresheet.
