Next up City face a Lions side very much in need of the points. Despite what was at one a lengthy gap away from the safety, Millwall are now only four points off Rotherham, who may face a points deduction, and have won two of their last three games (drawing the previous 2). They arrive at the CCS very much alive and kicking to face a team that have won a miserable two games at home since the turn of the year. The Lions are chasing their first league double over City since the 74/75 season. With three games left and 12 points maximum available - BluefromBridgend can complete back to back Championships if he outscores GLAM by 2 points. Irish returned to the Top Four last night for the first time since October but 4th place is not his yet as Sheep and Blueturk are hot on his tail. 2 points for Jonah last night bring some much needed relief from the relegation scrap he was getting dragged into. Negative points for lack of predictions had seen Swamp drop from the Top Four to the relegation scrap and one more penalty would have seen him drop into the red. He had now predicted and stands a decent chance at getting away, with his healthy 5 CS tally. Whilst Mr Murphy of Tractor Fame handed Bfb a large margin at the top of the league he also denied Steveoldinho a full house in what could be a crucial moment come the end of the season. However, his two points mean that he is not cut off and remain a point and place behind Remote and Ronny. EldonBluebird is relegated. If the 12/13 Champion returns he will compete in the 2nd tier for the first time. The musical chairs game that it the race for the playoffs continues and I'm pretty sure all of the contenders have been in the slots at some point over the past three weeks. The 2nd CS of last night goes to Hampshire boosting his chances. Bluescull moves above Sparks on CS's.
Great work Sheep with the tables and your resume of how the prediction league stands. Millwall will be up for this to avoid relegation so I'm going for a 1-1 draw with Doyle again on the score sheet.
Head says 2 - 1 to Millwall but heart says 2 - 1 to City so for a change I'll go with my heart and we will win. Mason to get his first since returning. Thanks Sheepy.
3-0 to us please Sheep Mason - Even Sparky will have to acknowledge the green shoots if I get this one right.....
Stevo - if we win this 3-0 I'll be humbled - if Macheda scores as well, I'll have to find a monastery..... Slade was out-managed by a better manager in Holloway in the reverse fixture, and he got the sack. Don't know if this Neil Harris bloke is any good, but he'd have to be pretty poor to be worse than Slade (there I go again ) I think they'll want it more than us and can see another Charlton or Bolton type game where we'll get turned over if we're not careful. They need the three points far more than us and I think they'll come for it. Was going to go for the draw but will stick my neck out and say Millwall will nick it City 0 - 1 Millwall. EDITED @ 12.35 - see later post.
Put it this way.... If you cant beat Millwall at home then Slade should never be the boss for next seasons onslaught. 3-0 home win or bust....
Sheepy - going to change my prediction totally just before leaving. I did predict a loss for us and I've no real reason, but I've come around to the feeling that we are going to get something out of this, even all three points in fact. Make it City 2 - 1 Millwall for me with Gunnar getting another one. Cheers Sheeps. (I'll probably regret this )
3 to 1 for us please. And Whittingham will get the penalty I have been predicting all season and not got!!!!
