Prediction League The Blue Prophet Prediction League - Fulham (H)

The season restarts this Saturday with an early home kick off against Fulham so once again the Prediction League winds itself up to start again. After last seasons disastrous placement of 11th (despite the backing of Premier League relegation windfall) surely this season will be an improvement? Russell has not added much to an already large squad but seems to have moved away from the dire football he cultivated last season by judging an unbeaten pre-season. It will certainly be a trial by fire with a very demanding August fixture list so there may yet be more change if results do not improve.

Our last home game against Fulham celebrated a return to blue and an elusive home win. In fact Fulham's return to the 2nd tier of English football was even poorer than ours, and we are unbeaten against them in our last four meetings. Kit Symons, recently having given up his Wales assistant manager post, has added highly rated young English defender Garbutt and will be looking to Mr McCormack to live up a bit more to his £11 million price tag as they look to improve on a low finish.

Lots of positive predictions.

Fulham's pre-season not so good. 1 win versus Crawley, a draw and defeat versus German clubs and a draw versus Palace.

However, they have made some good signings and will be competitive with Ross desperate to notch against us.

I want us to start with a win so will go with the flow, 2 - 1 to us, Pilks to score.
