On the spuds board there is some punter who wouldn't like to win the Champions League in the style that we won it. This view is shared not only by Spuds fans but also Manure and the Arse. What a load of rollocks. It is quite amusing to see how bitter other fans are of our success as they try to argue how it wouldn't be great to win the best club competition in the World! You gotta love it!

When Spurs get to a final in the CL they might be qualified to comment....actually,2 consecutive seasons in it might be a start.

    What else have they got?!?!

They know full well that if they won it in our 'style' they couldn't care less about how it was done and you wouldn't hear the end of it. The spuds are frankly jealous and bitter that we denied them C.L football...and rightly so.

What amuses me is how they soon forget about the great football we served up when beating Valencia 3-0 and Napoli 4-1. Great teams can mix it up and alter their 'style' to suit the opponent. Spurs haven't had a great team for 50 years so can't possibly comment with any real authority anyway.

I do love the fact that we prevented them from qualifying.

In no way at all as good as actually winning the cup, lets be clear, but it's certainly the cheeky brandy at the end of a five course banquet<laugh>

It was great stopping them from getting into the Champions League! Though in the Allianz one of the first things I thought was 'what are Villa going to sing to us now?!'

Its all bs, they wouldn't care how they won it, as long as they did and their pretentious posturing doesn't fool anyone.
And if they did win it in the 'Chelsea style' they'd come up with a further bs excuse how its actually ok for them to park the bus.

Its particularly galling from Arsenal fans though. Yeah, they get all the plaudits now but some of us are old enough to remember when '1-0 to the Arsenal' was Highbury mantra. They weren't moaning about defensive football back then.
And as I recall, the last trophy they did win wasn't achieved with flowing, attacking football either.

not many teams would of strolled into the krauts very own back yard and walked out with the big one. chelsea were pure class through out, did what they had to every time they were asked.

It amazes me that you lot are still whinging about this.

You put us out of the CL which we, every other year, would have legitmately qualified for given our final league position plus you cost us a lot of money in the process and yet you complain that we're not over the moon that you won?

Oh ok - cos that makes sense...

    We hear this every year

Liverpool would hate to be foreign owned and splash the cash, oh wait.....

Spurs would never employ mercenaries like Adebayor, G*llas, oh wait.....

Irony is the "Parking the Bus" phrase actually came about after Spurs' negative showing against Chelsea in 04/05 where they decided not to come out of their own half. They did the same thing v AC Milan in both legs last season. My backside they'd do any differently if they came up against players of the technical quality of Barca or Madrid.

They couldn't even score against a Madrid side that was spanked 5-0 by Barca last season, the same Barca we beat having had 10 men for 1/3 of the tie

Of course Chelsea did what they had to do and you should be delighted to finally win the thing...

But on the flipside, it was very embarrassing for the rest of the Premier League, and if it wasn't Chelsea that had won in this manner, a lot of you would be voicing the same concerns.

Sorry mate but please don't tell me how I think or what I'd say. I also couldn't care less if it "embarrassed" the Premier League, we're not aiming to impress anyone.

I would be disgusted if Arsenal won any game, never mind trophy, in that sort of way. It's something that shouldn't be condoned by 'big' clubs nowadays.

I take it you will be giving that 2005 FA Cup to Manchester United, then?
